Hope I don't get shot down for this but we all contributed to the Harolds X fighting fund. Now that particular skirmish is over could any unspent funds be given to Longford?

The unspent funds wouldn't cover what's needed.

If patron's that use the track regularly all give 200 and anyone else contributes what they can afford, then they will hit their target.

Good idea. No reason why Longford couldn't make an application to the hardship fund.

Thanks to everyone who has contributed to the Fund so far. As of last Thursday we have raised 12,000. A great start! With the deadline of Aug 4th looming large we really need people to act on their pledges straight away. Spread the word please :)

With less than two weeks to go to our deadline of Aug 4th we have now raised over 16,000. A great effort but we have a long way to go to our target of 25,000.

Thanks to everyone who supported the Keep Longford Racing Fund! We had an amazing response and money is still coming in. With your help we have exceeded our target and have secured the future of racing at the track for the foreseeable future. Longford has always held a special place in the hearts of real greyhound people and the support we received from far and wide proves this point. We are so grateful.
As a sign of appreciation we would like to invite you to the track on Bank Holiday Monday at the earlier time of 5.00 pm. There will be free admission for everyone kindly sponsored by track bookmaker PJ Rickard. We will have the finals of 3 stakes as well as free tea and sandwiches sponsored by the Track Supporters Club.
Why not come and visit and enjoy some Longford hospitality!

You can buy a ton bag of salt for 150 put it in the wagtail fertilizer sower behind the tractor and go once around the track and frost is gone. Bob's your uncle and fanny is your aunt. One ton will treat the track 10 times.

The track is covered in snow at the moment... no amount of salt will make that disappear Im afraid.

That's a very generous gesture of you David...
