With the war against the ban still raging, I wonder what peoples' thoughts are regarding the continuation of racing at Wentworth Park.

The demographics of the location have changed over the past decade and personally, I found it very difficult to get there on race/trialling nights with all the traffic.

Is it time to move from there and concentrate racing at Richmond or Gosford for main events?

The move could be a massive bargaining point on any decisions made by the Iemma Committee.

Richmond would be the better, as the track is much safer.

Get rid of it, but we need to be adequately compensated.

not having to pay rent on wenty and a lot less grief about closing is more than adequate compensation.

not to mention the injury toll will go down if we stop racing on a goat track.

Definitely a priority for the Lemma panel, not forgetting Lemma had a hand in disregarding the Cameron Report, why do you think Baird chose Lemma to head up his deputies?

The Govt offered $18 million to buy out the W.P. lease a few years ago (easy to say in retrospect but maybe we should have taken it) - my personal view would be to put a price on the termination of the remainder of the lease but only if we receive our proper dividends & tax rebate -lets not forget they are still withholding the last $10 mil. promised to be released early 2017.

They had the chance to buy El Cabello Blanco The horse complex out near Oran Park, around 10-12 years ago. Perfect.
GBOTA has thwarted the Govt for years now over Wenty. Always extending a lease option. Was this part and parcel of the Ban?

I must be the odd one out here as I think its bad move to make Richmond the city track unless they fix distances to 530 and 717 for city meetings as if they don't we will be racing more over distances 400m and 600m just my opinion

Corner starts are a joke at any Track and should not be considered for City meetings ever.

With the money received, they could quite easily build a chute in line with the back straight.

Brilliant Rob.
Add all day trials on day 6 and puppy runs/breakins on day 7 and you get a world class facility.

I must be the odd one out I love Wenty . Something about the place gives me chills it is iconic it is where our history is . If it was to move to Richmond I believe it would need to be shortened from 535 to 510 . Thanks Luke Anderson
