Sandro correct me if I am wrong but if they are harrowing 3"and the sand is only 2"deep the underlining gravel will come to the surface. Can someone let all see the Facebook post. Is it from the under lining drainage or some thing that has been deliberately been placed there to destroy the surface

John

That sounds like too much common sense to me

You would think that the curator and head curator would know that before a deep harrow is done

It is irresponsible if a deep harrow is ordered to be done and the sand thickness is less than the depth of the harrow

If that is happening then it is a case of the left arm not knowing what the right arm is doing!!

Mark Staines before we say or able to prove what you say we need to ask a few simple questions.
(1) who gives out the contract to Wilson
(2) How much money do the GBOTA have in the bank (I am not a member of the GBOTA) so maybe we can get a member to tell us.
(3) Is there any nepotism in the awarding of the contracts.(family trees need to maybe looked at).
(4) remember the same government that was going to shut us down is the one that is now supposed to keep us afloat (or are they).
I have not had a lot of time in the greyhound game but what I have seen there is a lot that needs to be questioned. So I hope there is a few questions asked and answered by participants who do not have their nose in the dog dish.

John,
I repeat - see my post under the Cessnock heading (which is an overlapping subject). It will answer some of your queries.

Someone thinks the gravel (aggregate) came from the inner track (field).

The weight of the gravel indicates to me it was either thrown on there, dug up during harrowing, exposed during heavy rain or watering, or the sand (track) on top of the drainage system was not deep enough hence the reason for exposure. It's too heavy to rise from the bottom to the top on its own. My bet is deep harrowing.

Anyway, I hope for the best and expect the worse from the usual three tracks. Meanwhile, The Gardens is making a come-up from a lengthy spell......... I feel for the Hunter trainers and their owners.

Mark: Why are there never NAMES /Phone No's/ @mail Addresses of the people making these decisions. All obscure/anonymous/ faceless GRNSW employees. We seem to have NO RIGHT to question ANY decision making what so ever.

We should get a full blow explanation as to what has been happening at these joints. They do it to participants! What are they hiding ?
