Last nights programme has generated much discussion on social media.

Ger Dollard might not be fully informed about all aspects of our industry in his 2 weeks in post, but he's learning fast and at least he's willing to try to defend our industry on live TV.

In 2 weeks the usual veil of silence from our governing body has been broken on radio and TV. Good to see heads being raised above the sand.

I though the man in the audience who spoke after Tommy Bolton made some very valid points.

The Control Committee has the eyes of the world upon them....

The pertinent question must be " Why did it take from 22 June (sample taken) to its publishing on the 13th of Sep on the IGB site? Over 2 months?
Who decided for it to take so long?
I thought the adverse analytical findings were sent straight upstairs to the (independent) control committee in Limerick.
Seems there are questions to be answered by whoever made the decision not to publish the adverse findings straight away.
The samples from the first 3 rounds of the Derby (up to and including the 3rd round on the 2nd of Sep) only took 11 days to be published.
Why is the testing regime so fast now and was so tardy only 2 months ago?
And that any subsequent testing protocols after the sample is sent to the control committee are independent of the IGB.
Damn, I've just answered my own question.

Some would like to see greyhound funding cut. Suggesting the money could be better used.
