Phone Entries for racing will be taken on Wednesday from 9.30-12.30 only.
Christmas Entry System
Entries for racing on Sunday 29th December must be received by 4pm Sunday 22nd December. This is to facilitate making of the cards. Entries received after this time will not be guaranteed racing for this weekend.
Withdrawals can be made by text Monday 23rd December 10am -12pm & Thursday 26th 10am-12pm .
Entries for racing on Saturday 4th & Sunday 5th January must be received by 6pm Sunday 29th December. This is to facilitate making of cards. Entries received after this time will not be guaranteed racing for this weekend.
Racing office reopens Thursday 2nd January as normal.

On behalf of Mullingar GOBA I would like to wish all members, owners trainers tote staff track staff and racegoers a very peaceful and happy Christmas and whilst 2019 has been a very challenging year here's to 2020 and making it a turning point for the right reasons for our great industry.

On behalf of Mullingar GOBA I would like to congratulate one of the tracks great supporters Paddy McCormack on his induction in the Irish Greyhound Board Hall Of Fame at last nights awards.
It is a fantastic achievement for one of greyhound racings true gentlemen and fully derserved recognition.
Paddy Merriman a fellow midlander, neighbour of Paddy and popular greyhound owner and breeder was also the receipient of the special merit award from the Irish Greyhounds Board
Congratulations to both great men from the multitude of greyhound people in the midlands.
The IGB has confirmed that it has commenced the formal tender process for partial demolition and construction of a stairway extension and all associated site works at Mullingar Greyhound Stadium. The works are required to address a capacity issue in the upper floor restaurant at the stadium which is currently limited to a capacity of 126 patrons. Following completion of the work the capacity of the upper floor restaurant will expand to 240 patrons.
The undertaking of the works will cause short term disruption to activities at Mullingar greyhound stadium. The IGB has indicated that the management of any disruption to activities at the stadium will be discussed with the preferred contractor in advance of works commencing. The works form part of the ongoing upgrade of facilities within the greyhound stadia network to meet the increased regulatory standards that now apply to such stadia.
The tender has been placed on the e-Tenders platform and completed tender submissions must be made to the IGB by 1 p.m. on 24th March 2020.

Entries invited for Bitch and Veteran races over all grades and distances
Entries now been accepted for Novice unraced races 525 yards and 330 yards. Races will be held instead of sweepstakes for the month of July as per IGB guidelines. Owners/ Trainers are ask to submit their novice entries as soon as possible.
Official Tuesday 10.00am -12.00pm Saturday before racing - places are limited, these must be booked through Orlaith

Back in the day the third bend at Mullingar was considered a tad sharp for the sprinters so as i recall they introduced the 350/400 starting in the home straight.
