Your probably right Nathan,"Don't Change Tradition". Big Bash cricket=fail,AFLX= didn't see crowd walking out at half time.

I've been to Healsville a couple of times and loved it, dogs chase up the straight good. There will always be circle tracks for you and the other 15-20 people who are there to watch who are not financially linked to the race day.

Your right Simon it was a discussion, all I said was IMOP it could be questionable !
And gave reasons why
You then thought sarcasm was needed in pointing out keeping tradition doesnt work but yet suggested I was right ????
That my friend is sarcasm ..... you then pointed out test cricket was tweeked
They had to , no one was watching it
AFLX ???? Wow , how long has that been running .... is this a gimmick or copy from their counterparts NRL sevens
Competitions where you can count on one hand where the real stars of the game even turn up !
Fair dinkum are you on drugs ?
Healesville straight track 350 mtr .... yes great, but bit different to doubling that distance , example in another code is a 1200 sprint up Flemington straight , so could they double that distance and run the Caulfield cup in a straight line ?
Answer ..... no !
And who are the 15-20 Poeple that have no financial link to race day that turn up ?
Its hard enough to get Poeple to the track who have invested their hard earn for years , do Poeple just go to watch do they ?? Am I one of them am I Simon ??
You have no idea
Greyhound on stats for interest in tab betting is the only code out of the 3 that is on the improve ! Even after the ban debacle , last time I checked
We dont need tweeking if thats what u call introducing 1klm straight tracks with sunroofs and solar panals , tweaking haha wow
See that Simon thats sarcasm too
I hear Shane Warnes into wind turbines , maybe you could get him to get involved with Ricky Ponting and bring some wind turbines to power the bunny !

Again (discussing) ..... IMOP and 95% of others involved in greyhounds whether it be owner trainer rearer Breeder ..... ?? We all agree and hate the 400s and 600s
Dont need to reinvent the wheel , just shift 2 sets of boxes and pay much needed attention to the materials used in the actual surface !!
If u disagree with this Simon you (FINANCIALLY LINKED) would be in the minority
Keep your sarcasm when the sun dont shine .... relax mate

Ps just watched Fanta bale rip past front runner champagne sally around the last turn in the zoom top !
It was awesome !!!!!,!, actually yeh your right Simon , take that away and we will all watch greyhounds that resemble somewhat of a mechanical machine plodding up a straight line ..... mmmmm

Hear hear Nathan. Hopefully this is the end of this ludicrous "discussion"

i disagree compleatly with you i dont think you ausies know the ability of your own greys wee run straght track in temp ranging from 30degrees cels to 38 and in winter a marathon run of 700 meters is no un common cean . the races range from 200m to 500m and dogs run it twice in a day . not saying you dont know your dogs but the way you gents race in aus you dont push the dogs as hard as they culd be pused is put in a dif senario

Patrick, it's a safe straight track just like Healsville only longer, you know the one they race at every Sunday, the one that people punt on.

The track would be in a shed but cooled to accommodate the dogs.

On top of the shed would be solar panels,
they would pay for the power needed and the excess would be sold into the loop.

Which part is Ludicrous?

I love the idea Simon.
Camera on the outside rail and one from a drone above.
Its way too innovative for some.

No need for a Drone Jamie just a spider cam on a fixed cable (screwed to roof trusses) under neath corrugated iron below the solar panels.

Simon: I agree with Patrice & Nathien your a bloody Idiot! How much will you pay the "Spider Cam" operator? You got me all excited when you mentioned "Screwing" Things.
Now I watched a doco, on a Thoroughbred place had a 1200m covered training track! You maybe on something here?(Ice-Mushrooms) Huss
