just a racing question.
dog is a reserve on sunday.
nominated for another track on the same sunday - yet to be finalised.
Can someone explains the scenario/s'.
e.g. if it got in as a reserve , and it got in on the other track on the Sunday, is it an automatic scratching without pentaly for the 2nd track.

I am aware that a dog can't race one day and then the next.
Just wondering how it works in the system.
Just need to understand it, as I don't want to hold back unnecessarily because of a reserve position.

Thanks it would be good to understand now (before 8am to be precise!), haven't had to worry about it before.

My understanding (in vic) is that the 2nd nom is dependant on the result of the first so if your a reserve who gains a start in the first you are scratched in the second without penalty

I can sit with that, it makes sense and I think that I have sensed that, that would be the case.
Thanks for your prompt response Hayden, Cheers!

Now and again you have to keep things moving, one way or another.
Change of scenery for the dog, and as a precursor.
In saying the above, the reserve position is not an ungrateful position to be had, but sometimes you have to make a decision that gives you a chance to change it up, whether it is one step or two.
