Has it all. Size, run home times are outstanding. By the best sire for decades. Be booked out at $3,300.

There is no doubt this dog is a machine, but I don't understand how he could nominate for the Top Gun,with an outstanding stewards trial required at the Meadows before close of noms.I would suggest that once the panel confirm there picks for the Top Gun as he won the Adelaide Cup the dog will not be allowed to be in the Top Gun as the GRV board should pick up that clearance trial should have been completed before Noms closed.I expect that is what should happen but you never no stranger things have happened.

Very Interesting Keith..Maybe he won't get a call up for the Top Gun ....if he is not eligible...The Melbourne Cup is just around the Corner so I guess it could be a blessing in disguise if he misses it ...

Hi Guys, he wont be running in the Topgun as we have chosen to withdraw his nomination and concentrate on the Melbourne Cup, if he hadnt of won the Geelong Cup we would have gone for the Topgun. We would have run the satisfactory on Wednesday.

Youre 100% about Pauls breeding continuing on. I learnt a lot from Paul and most of our success is credited to him. The same goes for Shima Shine etc.

Hi Darren, interested to know what part winning the Geelong Cup played in your decision to bypass the Topgun. Reading your comment, had he run 2nd you would have run in the Topgun. Not being a smarty, just curious. The dog is a freak.

Thats ok Wade, no offence taken. The Topgun was really never in Jasons plans. His focus was always the Geelong Cup and the Shootout in the lead up to the Melbourne Cup. When Jason nominated he thought we might as well nominate as he was already an automatic entry, and we can reassess from there. He was never a certainty for The Topgun and as soon as he won the race Jason said he wasnt running in the Topgun. If he hadnt of won the Geelong Cup the thought was might as well have a crack at it, but the dog has plenty of time on his side and we just dont want to over do him at that elite level at the moment. Another month or so wont hurt him.

Hooked On Scotch tonight ran 28.93 in his Melbourne Cup heat at Sandown to break Unlawful Entry's record of 28.95
Congrats Darren, he is an absolute freak of a dog, its hard to imagine that his mum could produce one better than Poke The Bear

His action reminded me of the movie CRANK. Electrifying.

Last reports he wasn't healing as good as hoped but was back in sand runs and straight track. Been nothing more said since
He's been DNAed but not registered for stud yet so could be good news

Steward's Report You Tell Me and Courting were quick to begin.
Halbred Bale and Yozo Bale collided soon after the start. Faithy Bale and Hooked On Scotch collided approaching the first turn checking Hooked On Scotch. Yozo Bale checked off Courting on the third turn.
Hooked On Scotch underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right deltoid, left and right trapezius muscle injuries. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
