Was informed today from supplier that they are coming to an end shortly. Any suggestion for a replacement or how to make your own?

Cheers.
Rich.

(apparently due to obsolete machinery and cost to replace it) Could be a good business opportunity for someone.

I dare say lower numbers of dogs the past few years may have also been a factor.

No worries Ken, We will be able to ask our AUTHORITIES which other products we can use safely! Free from contaminates like CAFFEINE, COBALT etc.
Like Copprice, Sardines, B12, Ferramo, Vam Paste etc.
Now Coconut Water! What is considered safe?? I just dunno?

How did that happen Kevin, if you've only got one dog in work?

4 attempts to swab a 20 month old bitch on a heat affected day ..
Really shows everyone how well the GRV care for greyhounds on hot heat affected race meetings ..
I estimate my bitch spent 50 min in the sun getting chased by the ladle ..

Steward's Report
A sample was taken from Yellowtail Bear at the Trainers kennel earlier today.

Agent Rocket was slow to begin.

Yellowtail Bear brushed the running rail on the first turn. Polly's Wilma contacted the running rail on the third turn and lost ground as a result. Bowled Underarm and Agent Rocket collided approaching the winning post.

Polly's Wilma underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the left monkey and left pectoral muscles. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Yellowtail Bear. Stewards directed a post-race urine sample to be taken.

Stewards were unable to obtain a post-race urine sample from Yellowtail Bear and a post-race blood sample was subsequently taken.

I drove home with a gold ball sized Hematoma Tony ...
The amount of people who have contacted me in support of the Victimisation the GRV are presently putting me through has been very soothing for the soul.

The GRV at present are going out of there way to silence me so they attack my 20 month old maidon in a way that it could mess he up for life she was very very stressed before and after he run and what made it worse was that i was not allowed to give her my POST race drink only water ....

The GRV dont give a Fark about your young dogs welfare .....

Tony i don't want this to ever happen again to any Trainer in Victoria ..
Imagine if JugHeads dogs were faced with the same obstacles i was faced with this week or last week ....

PS
At no time was the PUNTER informed this happened to my bitch in fact she was denied a fair start and the Punter was ripped off guess what also Tony the winner payed a $1.12 was not swabbed ....

There is a huge chance my bitch will be tested next start as well .
One thing i refuse to do is to walk in the Sun again before she races i will refuse to do a swab if i am not offered
full 100% SHADE ..This is 100% WELFARE ISSUE..if swabbing is allowed to continue in this way ...

.Silence of the LAMBS .....
I am a member of the GOTBA guess what they also don't give a fark and you would think this kind of issues should be front and centre of all welfare talks.......

The GRV are gunning for me and it is because i have spoken out on many issues over the years but recently the great GRV Witch hunt was uncovered

More to come after the Cup...I am hearing its bigger than 2015 with code words used to track and follow participants Covert undercover surveillance so i hope the GRV have there ducks all lined up this time because if they have done anything illegal like ENTRAPMENT or illegal phone tapping then the courts will sort them out straight away ...

PSS
Swab at Home Stewards ask to wash there hands ...I tell them to use the Laundry troof Cold water ...No SOAP no towel to dry hands ....

Hayden
Thank you .
I think it is very plain to see what has taken place and if the GRV really care about Welfare then they will ensure this can never happen again in the same way it happened to me on a heat affected race day ...

I admit i have and do speak out because i believe in everyone should have a

Voice regardless..... the Bully Boy Tactics still continue today within the GRV ......Victimisation Bullying intimidation in the Workplace is against the Law

No Box One 4x2 or 2x2 biscuits, left in my area on the Nth Rivers.
Had a call from some local breeders of Cattle dogs/ Border Collies. And another from a breeder of Rottweilers asking me where can they purchase these products!

Sorry boys but they are no longer being produced. And I can't find any alternatives.
Have used Box 1 Gold kibble now for over 15 years! Is this next on the extinction list?

Terry
Maybe a few smart intelligent guys here could pool some resources together to make them ourselves...
It's not a hard recipe to put together .....

Here's one recipe to try ..in your retirement Terry
Spelt Flour
Flour
Egg
Unsalted Peanut butter
Oats
Banana

Use spelt flour for the recipe because it creates a dry and tough dough, which results in a more dry crunchy biscuit.
For the rolled oats, make sure the ingredients on the packaging only have oats in it. It should not contain any sugar or flavorings.

For the peanut butter, please use the all natural peanut butter with no sugar added. The banana already has a natural sweetness.

PUTTING IT TOGETHER
Mix the wet ingredients together (the egg, mashed banana and water) and slowly mix in the dry ingredients and then knead away!

When you are making this dough, you will notice that the dough may be a bit dry, you can additional water, 1 teaspoon at a time to make it more pliable and easier to knead but the dough should be very tough and somewhat dry. We want these treats to turn out hard, crunchy and dry.
PUTTING IT TOGETHER
Mix the wet ingredients together (the egg, mashed banana and water) and slowly mix in the dry ingredients and then knead away!

you can cut them up into squares or rectangles.

We want to also bake this in the oven on a slightly lower temperature because our goal is to dry out the biscuits.

I have 24 dogs here Kev! That's a lot of biscuits.
We'll give it a try, If they taste good? don't know if the Dogs will get to many!

Normal brekky: 1/2 cup kibble, 1/2 a Weetabix, 1/3 slice of toast, 1/2 a 4x2 biscuit, soaked in a stock (Chic, Beef, Veg)

Dinner: 500-700grs (size)Beef with some chicken, 1 4x2 Bisc for dogs, 1/2 bisc for bitches.....That's 30 biscuits every day kev!!

Better get a bigger oven...Tezza
