IGOBF Statement 22nd November 2019
Save our Tracks Benefit Night Shelbourne Park
The members of the IGOBF wish to sincerely thank all those who pledged their support in various ways to the success of the Save The Tracks Monster Benefit Night on 13th September 2019 at Shelbourne Park.
The night was a tremendous success in many ways. It was an exhibition of our canine athletes strutting their talents at the home of the Irish Greyhound Derby. It was a fantastic opportunity for our retired greyhounds to meet and greet the public and create awareness about what great pets they make due to their wonderful nature. It was celebration of the unity and community spirit that was created through joint working of the GOBAs, enthusiasts and the Federation. Arranging such an event in such a short timeframe required a Herculean effort from everyone involved in its organisation and it would not have been possible without major effort from Patrick Flynn and his team at Shelbourne Park. And lastly, the event raised valuable funds through sponsorship, donations etc. Once we receive all the monies pledged, we will update all our GOBAs.
We encourage everyone to join their GOBA to ensure that we have reliable channels of two-way communication.
Once again, thank you very much indeed for your support. It is very much appreciated.
IGOBF committee
