Tassie Greyhound Trainers,
I'm new to the sport and I'm trying to aquire my owners/trainers license, for this I need my owner/attendant license beforehand. If there are any current trainers within Tasmania who could help me with catching 20 dogs at trial meetings and possibly teach me a thing or two along the way, I would greatly appreciate your help and guidance. I am young and eager to learn, I can repay you for your time and effort with labour either with your dogs or just around the house. I am located in the South of the state.

Thanks

Welcome to the industry Mat.

I'm sure you'll get some nimble(s) as soon as your fellow Tasmanians read this post.

Good luck on your journey. You'll need to be totally committed to your hounds everyday including early morning starts.

See ya in the winner's circle.

Cheers, Steve.

Hi Matt, I'd start off by ringing Susan Gittus she trains as well as running Tas greyhound adoption program. Hopefully she can assist you with some experience handling/helping or maybe give you a few leads to follow as to who might be willing to show you the ropes.

0427 045 433 Susan's number I got off GAP website hope its right.
