Don't hold your breath waiting for any breeding incentives to be introduced in N.S.W. !

Just get used to seeing 4 Dog fields over 700 at Wentworth Park !

Exciting viewing NOT !

It has to be better than watching the pin-ball machine squib 280m races

I basically switch off when they are on and watch none of the meetings at other tracks when these distances are offered

These short races do nothing for supporting the welfare of greyhounds, in my opinion

I don't even attempt to view 280m or 400m bend start races !

Mark Fitz- I am surprised your suggestion of using leverage with the WPTrust over their debt to gain an extension of the lease has not been supported by many.
If this could be achieved It would also be in the Trusts best interest as otherwise they will probably cease to exist.
Definitely worth being brought up at the Gbota annual meeting in order that they can float the idea with the Trust

Grant,

I've tried my best over the years on this topic (and other matters of concern) both publicly on forums like this and privately via emails and calls to the former GRNSW CEO, the GBOTA, journalists (especially the wonderful Andrew Clennell) and also about a dozen parliamentarians when the 2016 ban was announced

I was the Liquor and Gaming NSW "insider" who spoke on air with Ray Hadley a number of times soon after the greyhound ban was announced and also provided damning evidence to him against Animals Australia, the McHugh Report and Paul Newson (GRNSW CEO at the time) via copious emails.

I like to think that I played a small part in having the ban overturned. So very glad I kept copies of a lot of those emails I sent - and their various responses.

Grant, I've increasingly learned over the years that greyhound people (of which I've been one since 1969) are only interested in things that directly, positively or negatively, effect themselves.

So I've given up, probably, maybe......

I know it's a bad pun, but our industry is dog-eat-dog.

P.s. it's another nine months until the next GBOTA AGM.

PPS. Just re-read this post. Sound like a big-headed wanker, but I'll stick by what I've written.

I hope you can renew your enthusiasm to make a much needed difference again Mark.
Do you agree that Grnsw should be a non Government commercial body with Gwic remaining as is.
I believe this is essential for impartial decisions to be made in our Industry.

Grant,

I understand what you are suggesting, but decisions to buy and then sell at a loss the re-homing farm near Denman, and the day to day decisions were and are independent of government. It appears that some decisions are independent of the Board too.
