Tyrur Liz was incredible the way she made 7 lengths on Lady Deise from the third bend to finishing line.

Cornamaddy Swift was impressive, only have having her first look at track, but i still think Maireads Fanatasy is the one to beat.

the 8 heats were all won by favourites

7 out of 8 didn t take much picking with all the favourites obliging JD.
Great nights racing with some top class performances.
The favourites wont get it all their own way from here to the final.
Haven t seen the draw for the second round yet but the competition will be hot as there isn t a weak link left in it.
Some are sure to improve after having their first spin around in a race while I heard on the grapevine that some would have been in need of the run last night.
Next friday night will be a date for my diary.

My four (at the risk of losing the bragging rights Mr JD) are
Kildallon Lee
Raughlan Rose
Maireads Fantasy
Olympic Tippi
A great nights racing in store with some of the best bitches in the country in against one another.
The clash of Maireads Fantasy and Tyrur Liz is worth the trip alone.
Spare a thought for Raughlan Rose and Cornamaddy Swift who have to make the long journey from NI in bank holiday weekend traffic.
With the quality of this oaks I wouldn t be at all surprised if some of the hotshots are beaten on the night.
Anyone else got an opinion............?
Put up your selections...
If nothing else we ll have a bit of banter on the night.

Will the track record go tonight?
Conditions look favourable for Maireads and Tyrur to have a crack at it between them.
