Hi Michael,

Most pay by PayPal so we do not handle the money side. When members want to pay by credit card a team member rings them, takes their details over the phone and processes the cards through a secure payment centre which was set up and run by Barclay Bank in the UK. We do not keep any records of Credit Cards and in the last 12 years since paid membership began, we have never had any issues with Credit cards.

The problem some members are having is not an easy one to fix as it is only happening to a few members not everyone. Our IT simply cannot reproduce the problem so therefore at the moment they cannot fix it.

Tony

I think it shows you're I.T. people aren't much good if they can't reproduce the problems we're having.

Michael

ps- there's a slightly different and slightly better view of things if I log on, but only marginally so; still distorted with no poster names, time or date. The screen is skewiff and "grey-out" for the most parts.

pps - just trying to help.

pps - this is the same on four devices I've tried, windows 10 and 11 and both iPhones and Android devices.

Hi Michael,

The IT people are good. We have now logged into 3 members accounts, (With the members help and permission) and on our laptops there is no problem with Greyhound-Data.

I spent time with a member today having the problem and while I had him on the phone with his help I logged on as him and again on my laptop they were no problems my end. He was using Chrome so was I.

The next step is to try to contact someone with the problem that has skype so that our IT guy can share screen to try and figure out exactly what is happening.

I know you are trying to help Michael and it is appreciated. It is really strange that people using different computers logging into the same account and using the same browser are seeing two different things.

Hi Tony,

Good news. This evening I had some spare time so I gave the problem a little thought and decided to check my settings for Chrome, after resetting a few things it appears that my issues have been sorted - the poster names have reappeared as have the tracks listings.

I reset the pop-ups and redirects (settings) for the site (Greyhound-Data), under privacy and security within the Chrome settings. I made sure that - Ads, pop-ups and redirects and Images were all set to - Allow, and after going back onto the site, reloading as requested, everything was back to "normal".

Whilst I didn't physically change anything, perhaps the settings somehow changed with the introduction of the "secure site connection" - who knows? but as I said it seems fine now.

Hi David,

Thats fantastic. We also had a breakthrough. We worked with a member who was using "Add blockers" and as soon as he disabled this all returned to normal.

Cheers,

Tony

Hi Tony
Did the things that were recommended by you and the team
Nothing worked
Left the computer for a couple of hours and upon logging in again......Everything is back to "normal"
No idea why it didn't work earlier but all is well now
Many thanks to you and the team for your efforts

Hello Tony

I use Microsoft Edge web browser. I have amended my security/pop ups etc settings as per suggestions with no effect. The amendments might work using Chrome, but they don't with Edge. Can you ask your IT people please.

Hi Nicholas,

I have passed it onto our IT.

I also use Edge, Version 109.0.1518.52 without problems.

Cheers, Tony
