Me. I had hoped to back Stack 'Em Flat, but couldn't due to my much younger cousins using our pool on a very hot day in Adelaide.

What is a lucy's light? I own Echelon and he was trying if that is meant by the comment got 2 checks & also got lost & went wide. It's a tricky start over 570 for a first up never having seen the track also coming into a early first turn he ran home hard took the lead past the post going away after all he likes much more ground. this was a hitout for WA Sat. just wished I'd have known the place bet dividend. Usually I have some sort of bet but believed like most that he would be very hard to beat & just watched because of short odds in a small field. Len Jones
Lucy was a big sting at the Gold Coast one day..they manipulated the pool [ backed all the other runners ]Len and got set with a bookie at the starting [ tote] price..

all settled - the bookie from SA was the last to pay and sought a ruling from the court but eventually paid them the money

Well what a thing? the connections and dogs are the pawns here, but looks like the bookies want it all their way as said in this thread earlier. The winner recently broke the 520 mt. track record at Geelong and is the only dog to break 30 sec.there so is no slouch,after being checked early Echelon was running home well in the strait we were pleased with the hit out for the WA Galaxy.

The dogs and connections are pawns in every race, but there are 3 winners every race, the Govt(biggest winner), Tabcorp and the dog that wins the race. Everyone else takes their chances, but your right the Corporate bookies would like to rig the terms and conditions so that they can join the others, and make it 4 winners every race.
The Corps lost yesterday, and deserved to lose.

Betting rorts like this will just make it harder for genuine punters to get a "decent" bet set on greyhound racing with the corporates into the future....

Whilst in theory I agree, and in practice you'll probably be proven correct, but who is to blame?
The punter's for seeing, and seizing the opportunity? the Corporates themselves for accepting the bets, and not being dilligent enough to "read" the situation? the grader for "creating" the race (even though it was a handicap)? or even the trainers of the two scratchings which may or may not have initiated/created/enhanced the "window" of opportunity/situation?*
Personally I think these "opportunist's" saw an opening, took the plunge, and had a bet, if it failed then we may not have been any the wiser, the fact it didn't means we, and others are discussing the matter.
*(regards the two trainers of the scratchings in no way am i insinuating they did anything untoward or underhand).
