Hi Reece, I always have trouble logging on to this site and I even changed my password and it still never allowed me in. So anyway I watched a heat of the Sandown Cup where Vintage Blend finished 2nd to Miata, she has real ability but based on that race I think Miata was way more superior than she was, but nice ability

El Tenor was an amazing track dog.
Visually the greatest to me was Copper Beeches.

Hi Warren,

The July 1994 whelp El Tenor - winner of 102 open races - amazing dog.

I met Copper Beeches at Hove and just thought he was the most spectacular looking greyhound I have ever seen (even to this day I have a soft spot for the blue-brindles)

Talking about specific race performances Bold Trease's win in his 4th consecutive Sandown Cup in 1989 send shivers down my spine. He's going that fast around the home corner it's scary. At first you'd think he's heading for the wall! Leaves them in his dust, for the 4th time!

Surgeon would have given her wind burn IF he also put in 100%...!!!

Could have won The Melbourne Cup by 4,5,6 lengths NOT inches...

Dick...did you see Mrripley in the flesh...???

I didn't. Being in Massachusetts and Ripley running his whole career in Florida I never saw him in person.

What I did see of him on the internet told me he was one of the great dogs to ever step foot on a track.

One of the great races he ran was the 2002 Sprint Classic at Derby Lane. That race had Kiowa Sweet Trey and Dodgem By Design in it. Dodgem was a dog you couldn't take off the lead. Sweet Trey broke on top, as expected with dodgem 2nd and Ripley 4th. They both caught Sweet Trey in the stretch and the race should have been over, but Ripley just kept coming and lost by a nose.

He ran 79 races, winning 65, and hit the board 77 times and the other two times he was 5th. So he never finished 6th, 7th or 8th.

He was probably one or the top 3 or 4 dogs I ever saw, even though in his case it was only on the internet.
