100% by your side Dave. Any other dog who would have been so close to get the triple Crown? I realy don't know. So must be the all time greatest...

Mick the Miller would have too be the greatest greyhound in Europeon History, 3 Derbies and 1 at the age of 5. The American Real Huntsmen (27 straight wins), than the Aussie trio of Chief Havoc, Black Top and Brett Lee.

Hi carole, Bold trease was certainly a top dog but looking him up, every now and then he would put a few lessthan standard runs in. But all in all another that I want in my fantasy kennel lol.

yes Charles, Toms The Best was a brilliant dog but he won the English and the Irish in 2 consecutive years, not in the same year. I was talking about winning the 3 derbys in the Same year. So I think that Some Picture would beat Toms The Best any time....

The thing I loved about Brett Lee is that he was Switched on very early, abd kept his form. As well as being the complete package ie racer, breeder. The only thing I will say is Chief Havoc and Zoom Top could win at all distances and in top grade, but Brett Lee wasnt.as veritile. But all in all you are right Reece "Brett Lee was A FREAK"

Hi Carole, zoom top Looked like a freak and could win in top conpany at any distance, however, Chief Havoc could do the same BUT according to G-DATA he never won a group race or even contended one?? All the same a brilliant dog. Carole do you know much about his Sire Trion? G-DATA doesnt have much info on him??

Hi Charles, Firstly I would like to command you on your writing, you are simply a fantastic writer, so much so that you gave me amazing vision and also gave me goosebumps while reading your fantstic tribute to such a takented dog. The only thing I say is that according to G-DATA Ballyregan Bob hardly ever run against any more than 5 runners and even that was rear, not sure if thats correct but either way his pure ability was sensational and if I was to ask anyone to write a tribute to me, you would be the first person id ask. Excellent job my friend:)

Hi Todan, the fact that Tom's the Best is the only dog to win the Irish/English double speaks volumes about his ability. Cheers

Hi, as mentioned he (future cutlet) was odds on fav to win the '31 cesarewitch which he did by 5L beating mick the miller. Two months later went unbeaten through the Laurels (Wimbledon) starting at 2/5 for the final, winning by 5L. 1n the 1932 Derby won his first round heat beating eventual winner wild wolley clocking 29.62 which was a t/r, won his semi by 8L, beaten a neck in the final. Then went unbeaten through the cesarewitch starting at 2/7 for the final. The only dog during the competition to break 34.00 sec (which he did twice). Then the following year at the age of four won the derby beating Beef cutlet & Wild wolley (both classic winners).
