Nice trial at Sandown today after the first race:

" Punch One Out performed a solo trial following this event from Box 4 over 515 metres. The times were 5.02(1st split), 18.62(2nd split) and the overall time was 29.27. "

all things considered it was a pretty fair run.but goes to show no matter how fast they are box draws and interference certainly play a part in the outcome of a race don't they...

For sure Peter...Even SOMETIMES SPEEDY begun a length quicker (box 6) then POO and she couldn't cross the leaders at the first corner.

Can't wait to see what the El Grand Senor litter out of Little Egyptian can do. I reckon there should be some fast, fast pups to come through from there!

I wonder what they'd be worth if you could get your hands on one now, seeing what Punch One Out (plus a couple of more than handy littermates) have done on the racetrack?

I actually think it's degrading the sport that such a brilliant dog carry this name. Cannot believe it got through.

It's fine for a joke between m8's but to put that name out there in the public domain is doing nothing to enhance the reputation of greyhound racing.
