Congratulations to the connections of Yogi Mac, another from the Destini Fireball X Flash Innings litter who seems to be carving out a handy career in his homestate of Tassie.

Destini Fireball sired his first race to race double at Ballarat on Wednesday night, with just two dogs racing at the meeting.

Firstly, Baron Destini scored a tough win in Race 2 over the 390m in 22.48. Then the highly talented Miss Innings won Race 3 over the 450m in 25.68 after finding trouble on the first turn. The win makes it two in a row after an amazing last to first win at Warrnambool the week prior.

Good luck with them Rob! They will have no trouble chasing that's for sure. From my experience with his pups they are the best kennel dogs you'll ever find, at home and at the track. But when it's time for the stir up they're very switched on, just like the old man!

Jackpot June (x Diamond Standard) broke her maiden status leading all the way over the 405m trip at mandurah. Litter sister Tennessee Fire has been ultra consistent earning a cheque at 5 of her 6 starts, a win will not be far away. They are the best kennel dogs, brilliant quick learning attitudes and know when it is time to get down to business.

The Wynburn Kennels in Tassie look to have some handy chasers in their Destini Fireball x Miss Hettie litter. Very promising young talents.

The Destini Fireball Back to Distance Racing final (732m) at Mt Gambier was run and won in brilliant style on Sunday 3 Sept by McIvor Verna (owner Barry Priest and trainer Peter Franklin).

McIvor Verna (Bella Infrared x Blonde Caviar) already holds the 600m track record at Mt Gambier.

She followed this up the following week with a win over the 725m Handicap at the Meadows on 9 Sept so a good prep for her next race in the heats of the Group 3 725m Top Cat Video. Safe travels!

The Destini Fireball X Miss Hetti litter currently racing in Tassie is one to follow.

The present star is Wynburn Cutie with so much strength, but the whole litter has talent.

Unfortunately the Tasmania races don't feed directly into the Data system so one needs to follow them through the Tasracing or thedogs sites - but really worth a look. They don't turn 24months till December!

This is the quality of litter we all aim for. Well done to the Englunds!

Three heats of the Destini Fireball Winter Classic were run on Sunday 17th Sept at Mt Gambier with the Final to be run 24th Sept.

One of the pre race favourites is Phil Lenehan's Lektra Stomp.

Some interesting trivia..... dam of Lektra Stomp, Lektra Angie, whelped 2 dogs and 5 bitches to Destini Fireball in May 2017. Phil is hopefully looking to produce another stayer to match Lektra Angie's dam, Elektra.

Congratulations to the connections of Yogi Mac

who has made it into the final of the Group One 2017 Hobart Thousand.
Presently 28 starts: 5-10-5-2. Good luck from box 5!!!

And congratulations to the connections of Wynburn Cutie drawn as a reserve after being so narrowly beaten in the heats to come 2nd. Cutie has had a remarkable career to date 18 starts:14-1-0-3 and we will look forward to seeing her over the longer distances in the near future - such a hard strong chaser.
