So far, 5 heats of the $15k to the winner, Globe Memorial Maiden held at Richmond tonight and MBF has had 4 of the 5 heat winners, all from different bitches

However, time honours so far go to a Banjo Boy pup owned by Andrew Varasdi himself

UPDATE

Now 5 out of 6 heat winners with Nabiac Soldier taking out Heat 6, out of you guessed it, another different bitch, and now also has time honours in the heats

One heat to go, 2 runners for MBF out of bitches that have already had a heat winner

Not a bad effort for a young stud dog.

She's 10 mate. But yes we are is that a problem?

From my experience & research a bitch that is 10 plus years old, will be luck to produce a litter.
If your luck you might get 3 pups tops.
If I was the stud master of the sire chosen for this litter, I wouldn't be offering you a return should nil pups be the outcome.
Good luck.

You could be right Steven but we are happy to take a chance on her. Bitches like her don't grow on trees.

She's fit, healthy, thrown pretty decent pups ticks all the right boxes.

Sorry to see she only threw one pup Darren. It was always going to be a roll of the dice mating. Hope she's a gooden.

Ours are coming up 20 weeks. The biggest most raw boned, aggressive pups i have ever seen. The bitches are the pick, as big as the dogs and better looking. Already in the bull ring, completely nuts. 18 weeks 19 kilos, ( not fat , very lanky). Buggers of dogs, aggressive, hole diggers, go all day. Dont know if that is a bad thing, or a good thing. What i do know , is they are chasing "nuts". Do not understand comments about " timid" pups.I know of other litters being hole digging ferals. To each their own. 15 months will tell. cheers.

After a certain amount of time or certain volume has been reached by any sire , there are common trends or traits that are found to be reoccurring.
There are variables in assessing this aswell , not always the sire to blame or to credit!
Damline has to be considered aswell ....
What I said on another thread was not an attack , it was an evaluation from a handful of litters from very reputable rearers and damlines also .
With this in mind you have to take note and learn from others experiences!
I have seen them with my own eyes.
Rearers and breakers are the 2 fields of people who need comment on this , NOT your elite trainers at city tracks reaping the rewards of the finished product from the select cream of the pool in each sires offspring !
My point and statement for offering anyone who is considering using my bro Fabio
Is to expose them young to everything and anyone as 90% of what I have seen will run the other way from a human hand ! This is what I call TIMID/SPOOKEY and erratic comes to mind also !
This makes life tough when doing any form of work ,when you are the rearer/trainer
Eg drag lure straight work , bullring etc !
Makes a 5 min procedure turn into a 20 min event . An owner ringing in for updates on their prize pup or watching them race from the comfort of their lounge chair , wouldn't have a clue !
I stated getting in early to reduce this reoccurring trait I've seen on more then 5 seperate litters .
What you have stated Russ is your doing exactly that .....bullring at 5mths isn't exactly leaving them in a paddock till their 13 mths old !
Thus my advise is proving correct and helpful as I believe you can curve or change most habits or traits with the correct care and attention!
I also stated my bro produces nice types !
Strength is his forte , and this is what our industry is in need off!
At a guess Russ id say your or the brood that has produced the litter you have at present to my bro Fabio , had quite a bit of fire in her to begin with and also the early introduction to most things is awesome !
Well done and congrats

I wouldn't say those traits your pups are showing are necessarily bad Russ, I have one that was exactly like you're describing and she's won 6 and placed in 11 from 20 odd starts and some of the litter are very similar and they're winning metro melb.
Good luck with them I hope they turn out to be stars
