Chris I agree with you...you did not say 2 Trainers tested for Morphine

Thank You Paul, Stephen seems to be trying to muddy the waters with his posts, two trainers have had multiple positives squashed, one of these trainers had a morphine positive squashed which I think everyone will agree is deplorable.

Well Stephen is one not enough ?? And why did the IGB all of a sudden introduce morphine levels, What was the backround checks and data that brought them to this deciscon to introduce them at all, why would morphine be in a racing greyhound ? at the time of racing, when caffine, rubs, etc, etc, is not!!
Thanks Ken

Stephen seems to be suggesting that the IGB were lying to GRII when they admitted that there was a positive for morphine, its comedy at its best :)

Guys, this thread needs to get back on track and if you are going to make a statement please make sure it is fact as you are legally responsible for what you post.

Please remember the topic of this thread is "NEW Petition Regarding Positive Samples" and it was opened to try to implement change regarding the publishing of positive tests.

You should also note that not all persons that get a positive are "cheats", there are cases where "substances" such as antibiotics etc. have been given in error and in no way improve a dogs performance, mistakes in the real world happen.

So please guys do not turn this positive thread into something else.

Where has anyone posted about antibiotics?
People using morphine or procaine are cheats, lets not muddy the waters by talking about antibiotics which no one has mentioned on this thread other than Tony.

Ken,

"your out of order tony, let people talk, this is a positive?"

Talking is one thing rumour mongering is another. I am in favour of what is trying to be achieved but lets be clear if this thread becomes a witch hunt or a name and shame thread without facts it will be removed.

How can reminding people that they are legally responsible for their posts and should deal in facts be wrong.

Chris,
throughout this thread there are several references to anyone that gets a positive is a cheat which is not correct.

Not one person mentioned on this thread that people using antibiotics are cheats other than your good self, people have concentrated on the real drivers until you put your oar in, correct me if I am wrong and post the quote where anyone has said people using antibiotics are cheats, in fact you might be able to show who was caught for using antibiotics in the previous positives?

People in the main have been caught for caffeine which is sold in the stadium shops, it begs the question why these substances can be for sale from stadium shos, is that not condoning the sale o caffeine from there stadium shops ?

Chris, if you are going to quote me please do it correctly "antibiotics etc" was my words and was only an example.

"People in the main have been caught for caffeine which is sold in the stadium shops, it begs the question why these substances can be for sale from stadium shos, is that not condoning the sale of caffeine from there stadium shops ?"

Chris I don't disagree with you but in order to achieve results using Greyhound-Data this thread needs to stay on track.

As an owner of the site I feel I am entitled to put my "oar in" as I do not want to see the thread break any of Greyhound-Data's rules and be removed. Nor do I want to see any of our members in court and not dealing in facts could do both.

You are the only person that introduced antibiotics to the thread, you could be honest and state why you mentioned antibiotics in the first place?
To the best of my knowledge there has been no positives for antibiotics, can you show us where positives from antibiotics has been mentioned other than by yourself.

Tony , The GRII have always tried to stay on the topic and advised its members to stay on the topic also ,that being Drugs, we have no control over who comes on to our page and makes wide sweeping statements , , we have worked hard to get this far and we will continue to push forward and try to restore some integrity and transparency which is sadly missing, GRII.

Why not give a dog found positive a three month ban from racing I'm sure owners would not want a dog laying up that long and they would be telling there trainers to be sure there are no drugs in there dogs
