Well done Sean for going on "the project" and trying to put the truth into mainstream media. I see social media and grey sites having a go at you.
My opinion is you did fantastic in the situition and i would of just froze. If the ptb had the balls to be pro active and come out and be honest and pro greyhounds instead of throwing poor Sean under a bus.

Troy is right; what an utter disgrace that seemingly NO-ONE from within GRNSW (the State Authority) has yet got on the front foot to rightfully defend the many, many decent participants who by inference have again had their collective reputations sullied.

Sounds to me like the Qld and Nsw "inquiries" are nothing more than a code bashing witch hunt.

Sean well done for standing up for the industry, no media training or anything, you just had the guts to get up there and talk, you have proven yourself to be a doer not a full of piss and wind commentator well done to you.

Good on you, Sean.
You did what most wouldn't do.
At the end of the day, it shouldn't have been up to a participant to front the camera.
I'm wondering if "the project" approached any PTBs and did they get refusals???

Well done, mate.
Hold your head high.

Well done Sean took a lot of courage to get up there and try to defend the industry, its a shame GRNSW can't seem to be bothered with getting a message out to the public informing them about the new changes they are making to at least put out some type of positive message to combat all the bad publicity

Breeding is down over 50% right now ,there's a message they could spin into a positive in terms of numbers but they just seem to want to hide from the media while 'participants characters etc. are dragged thru the mud. Doesn't seem like great leadership to me

Good on you Sean for having the balls to get on camera for all participants alnd telling the general public about all the lies that these grubs are telling about our great sport. You have been bashed by many people on here me included but you are the first person to stand up on national TV and support each and everyone of us . We need more people like you that are prepared to stick up for us all. There are so many people that hide behind their post on here now is your chance to get your stories into the media because that's where the truth needs to be rather than posted your thoughts on here. Hats off to you Sean for having the guts ( which you have plenty) and getting on National TV

Hello all,

Unfortunately grnsw is bound by the current inquiry and is unable to make any statements publically or even enlighten participants at this present time, this would also go for certain other people or entity's participating in the enquiry.

Unfortunately I had to make a choice to go In Unprepared to the interview due to having to say yes or no at a minutes notice. The program was to air regardless of representation so I decided to represent as a participant.

There was 12 minutes of footage that was condensed down to 2 minutes so a lot of info was edited out, the section where waleed seemed to stump me had two sections and as I was advised that I would be able to start again if I tripped up but they just continued on. All in all they were quite good about it, but obviously sculpted the discussion to their agenda.

Had I have had the time to print out the document and also take prompts to keep me focused etc it would have flowed alot easier. I have never been in a media environment or been on national television so all things said and done, I faired okay, I thought.

Some people brought up that I could have shaved or worn a collared shirt, well in a perfect world yes, but when you take the call grocery shopping and have 20 mins to get the shopping home and 90 minutes to make a 85 minute drive to the studio, it was simply impossible.

I arrived at 5.25pm with a 5.30 deadline to record that was pushed back 30 minutes to the maximum time available and I was rushed straight into the studio and brief on the way!

I had to think on my feet and I'm proud to have represented the industry and greyhounds I am passionate about and while I have not appeased everyone with stepping up, I did the best I could in the situation I faced.

Whether you did well or not is up to each individual to decide, but kudos to you for at least standing up to be counted...

Good on you Sean. I hope you pester them to give you a follow up interview. It's only fair given the circumstances IMO

And good on Christine & Al Proctor for their article in today's Telegraph Sydney. Highlighted the main issue that people's livelihood's are in danger if they pull the plug. More commonsense talk from real greyhound folk .

Well done

Ray Hadley just mentioned you Sean (not your name)...but as the guy who went on the 7.30 report.

He made mentioned of your "attire" you wore on camera.

You may want to address his concerns on his show tomorrow between 9 -12....as you alerted us here.

You can listen to the podcast soon, where it was brought up in the last 15 minutes of the show (11.45).

It's nothing to really worry about. I just thought I'd inform you in case you missed it or possibly hear rumors about his remarks.

Cheers Steve

Sean I missed the episode but good on you..Prepared or not the first thing that springs to mind is nobody ever asks you where your ex racers are so straight away I would have been pointing the finger at authorities for failure to do there jobs and the rest of the clowns for quoting these obviously wrong numbers.

Sean, took a lot of courage, well done.

If you do get onto Ray tomorrow, you might want to raise with him that industry participants have been trying to contact him in Qld through 4BC to talk about the facts, but with no reply.
