that's all good n well, but last Thurs nite his new lure system turned Sandown into goat track racing, where we saw 11 of the 12 leaders (not on pace dogs but leaders), salute...........don't think I've ever seen that before in 35+ yrs of watching top city grade dog racing..........the only leader that didn't win was beaten on the line by an absolute champion who sat within 4 lens of leader at the post the first time and ran terrible time by his lofty standards.

makes you wonder if he really understands dog racing and his actions in implementing the extended arm lure system indicate he's been listening to and been given incorrect advice.

glad you find it funny Michael, I don't.

I was just stating a fact (not propoganda) about the 12 races last Thurs nite.

if you wanted the thread to be about adoption there is a section for adoption, you may also want to change the heading.

It's incorrect reasoning anyway.

Forgetting R11, where quality dogs are involved it is very difficult to run down a clear leader. Most were well boxed, too. Same thing happens even in Shout Outs etc.

is the hoop lure still being driven the same distance ahead of the lead dog as the arm lure. if so it must surely change the dynamics of the race perhaps to the advantage of some dogs or even just the lead dog. one change ie the position of the lure may be too simplistic. perhaps the camber or width of the track or position of the boxes or similar may also need adjustment

Bingo ...
USA style lure is the only way to go
if they insist on this kind of design they must also add in other factors that you have pointed out ...
TPB have waisted time and money when in fact they had NZ and the USA to copy to clone but not the GRV and there wise men and women decided to spend millions designing there own stupid lure and this is why these CLOWNS MUST GO ,,,

It is shamfull to think these fools had to go to this extreame how many months YEARS AFTER THE FACT ...

Rediculas and the GOVERMENT must act and get rid of the Mastermind they call Big Al and he cohorts ...

Fair is fair and these people surly must see they are waisting our time and there time because alll they are doing is putting a small bandade on the the festering wound .

The RADB is a joke .....They waist our money fighting rediculas charges and surely these people need to held accountable at some stage ...

Seeing that this thread is about adoption I will keep it short.

Kevin you are absolutely correct.

Michael, the only propaganda here is from GRV.

Hayden, correct, the dynamics of the hoop lure is totally different, position, line of sight, What the lure does on the turns, where it is positioned in the drive, all new, the race dogs will get used to it over time but pups getting the switcheroo could be effected, ours have been.

Kevin, next year is the state election, the common denominator in all three codes which has seen massive waste($) from over regulation and prosecution is the racing minister. Get politically active, contact the Shadow racing minister and convey your concerns, I have. I have also joined the shooters and fishers party out of appreciation for their great work in helping NSW get through that lunacy.

Done.
