how on earth did dogs manage to live to a ripe old age in the past, when all (if all)that was on the shelf was canned food! Alot of family pets lived off scraps you just have to look in pets at home, or even the local supermarket to see how pet food manufacturing has gone mad!! alot of people I know, who go on and on about pet health, have no idea what they are even eating themselves! everybody has there own view, and no one person is right, I feed my dogs to how I can afford it, and if they do well on it, thats fine by me! I wouldnt say its neglecting a dog to feed it cheaper brand or dry food If it is, then letting your kids eat biscuits and sweets is the same thing!

Scott -If I fed my William raw you would say I was cruel. He just wont touch it he would rather starve than eat anything un cooked. Once you have cooked it he'll happily eat it. I have a large pan on the stove and into it goes any scraps left over from meals pasta occasionally barley mince meat and anything else last night they had carrots cauliflower pasta and barley mixed with their dried food. They love it and William thrives on it and bones you've got no chance he wont touch them. Some one once asked what he'ddo if he ever ot lost my answer was simple STARVE. He couldn't catch a rabbit if it jumped up in front of him and rolled on its back and if he did catch one he'd find the nearest house and expect them to cook it for him!!!!!

Thanks for your response and comments. Have decided to change Banjo's diet to biscuit cooked chicken Mince and the other things she likes Pasta veg and spag bolognaise lol
I do give her bio yoghurt too
