I don't understand, why are you hoping to get her into the Dogs Trust Dublin? Why wouldn't Gina keep her until she is well enough to travel to Italy where she has a loving home waiting?
She will never be well enough to make that journey. She will need special care for life. And she needs a home that can afford that care. The lady in Switzerland is aware of this.

I never been informed that Christine is going to go to dog trust!! She has a family waiting in Lugano defenitely aware about her healt condition, we allways inform our adopters about the condition of the greyhound they are going to take. You cannot decide on your own to give away a greyhound booked for GACI
I agree Lilian, you should have been kept up to date regarding Christine.
She would obviously need a bit of time convalescing with some tender loving care before being able to travel, maybe that is the problem.

just spoke with Christine mumy, she may come to Ireland with me then flight back to Italy together with her...I think now the big problem is to give her the care she need, I suppose it would take up lot of energy and time, and see how fast she will recover

I apologize for my rude comment, I know every one is looking for the best accomodation for this girl...anyway Christine mumy will come out from the hospital most probably tomorrow morning (yes... she had an urgent surgical operation...that's one of the reason she feel so much for Christine, they both had unexpected healt problems) she asked for the vet report + all the instuction about the care Christine will need in future, she will cross post it to the vet in Lugano and we also will report to our vet in Modena

Gina I don't wish to get into private conversations about postings on the forum and for that reason I don't post my e-mail address.

After a year and a half of successful cooperation with GACI team all my support goes to Elisa and Lili. Please send Christine in to a loving home in Italy.
I will keep my fingers crossed four Christine.

Gina, Deirdre
When you have a clear picture let me know what you decide to do...
GACI has good family and "responsible" for Christine
this story has gone to far, we wouldn'd say anything else I leave up to you to decide for Christine

Guess you saw the pictures elisa. If the home are willing to take on the responsibility and fly her out, we have no problem. But lets just get her healthy first.

Christine was put to sleep this afternoon in the Vet College, she will have a private cremation and her ashes will be buried at PAWS. She was happy and cheerful till the end. She continued to lose weight, despite being fed more than she needed and the food was starting to enter her lungs. She fought the good fight and we and the vets did everything we could for her. Run free Chrissie
