Button has not been happy since we lost William. She has to be crated at night and when no one is at home as she is so destructive. OH is at home all the time so it is not normally a problem but the last few days he has been busy widening our drive as we have had to fetch our caravan home and as the front door has been open all the dogs have had to be in their crates for their own safety.
The whippets haven't been too bothered but Button has not been happy at all. It was too hot to put her in the garden as we ge no shade in it at all. Last night I put an old crate in the garden for the dogs with a tarpaulin over it. Button has gone in it and has been outside all day. She even took her bone outside too. She came in for long enough to have her tea and then took herelf back outside. She'snot made a sound all day I've kept checking on her to make sure she is ok. She is happy as a pig in muck.
I'm hoping she is just having some ME time away from the rowdy whippets but if she's happy to be outside then I am happy for her to be there.
