Hi Yvonne - the book is going really well - albeit Mr Savva has frequent losses of faith that it will ever be finished. I'm sure you can picture it :)
We have 60,000 words ready to go, which is about the size of most of the recent biographies, with several thousand more words that need to be edited and added. My plan is for the book to run to around 100,000 words plus tables, lists, charts etc etc. I am hoping to complete the writing by September - on the shelves probably early next year.
It has taken a long time but there is a huge amount of work involved and I only get two/three days a month maximum to work on it. (Today is one of those days) I only wish we hadn't told anyone that we had started on it. Several people have asked that I put a copy in their coffin if its finished in time.
But what the hell - it is the most interesting, funny and exciting project I have ever worked on. I've loved every minute but it won't go to press until myself and the main man are 100% satisfied that we have it exactly as we want it. He is a perfectionist after all!
The only limitations on the book are those of the author - I don't think you would ever find a better subject.

Dear Mr. Amphlett,
Thank you for the Link
Only one thing: Why is the Book "Care of the racing greyhound" available "only UK" - i got it a long time ago from the States and would not want to miss it - as owner of retired greys. I`d really like to be able to recommend an EU-adress to others, caring for retired dogs over here, if they seek for comprehensive information according greys health and care. Kind regards.

Hi Monika - a bit of an error on my part. We can and do supply EU countries, I was simply trying to get an advert together for the website as quickly as possible and the cost is obviously for UK postage. I'll double check with my secretary on Monday about the postage costs for EU and post details on this site.
We've had enquiries from all over the world, including one from Australia on Monday. For the sake of saving on postage, the book is huge and heavy, it makes sense for American customers to buy direct from the NGA and for Aussie customers to go direct to Des Fegan at [email protected] Hope this helps Floyd
