The adoption part of this site has a group listing in the UK called Private Homing.

If you have taken on your racing dog as a pet when it retired or have privately rehomed your dog then please consider adding them to the list.

If you e-mail myself [email protected] with the race name, pet name, month that dog became a pet and a brief description along the lines of 'Jack lives happily as a family pet with his racing owners in Swindon' then it would be great to see the numbers grow and develop into a much fairer representation of the thousands of greyhounds each year that are taken home or rehomed privately by their owners or trainer.

Thanks
Kev

The dogs that are rehomed via the IGB do not show up as being officially retired.

IMHO this is a big mistake on their part that shpould be put right
