Boarding kennels will be able to help although that can become quite expensive if they are there for a long period, most charge 10+ per day.
There may be a local greyhound kennel that may offer a resting rate to look after them for a couple of weeks.

RGT branches also offer holiday kennelling for their adoptees - I think the current rate is 9 a night. If there's a branch nearby it'd be worth asking if they could help, even if the greyhounds came from elsewhere. EXTERNAL LINK

Thanks for your replies. We have three dogs, one is mine the other two are Bill's,my partners Nothing is definate yet will know more tomorrow if he has to go into hospital, having a camera put down his throat as he has not been able to eat anything solid since xmas, only soup.He has now lost nearly 2 stone and he's all skin and bone. If he has to go in,and i think he will as it's not looking good at all,i don't think i will be able to look after the three dogs on my own also my place is quite small, only a one bed bungalow. Not sure what will happen if this is serious. I'll let you know what i do. Thanks for replying. Kathy

Hi Chris, thanks for your reply, unfortunately Bill also lives in a one bedroom bungalow so neither of us have the room for three dogs.I take Bare,my boy, home every night but we all spend every day together. Just praying things will not be too serious with Bill but it's not looking good at all. Thanks again. Kathy

Because the dogs have been living in a home for a while kennels maybe a bit of a shock to the system, quite a lot of the smaller rescue places use foster homes you could try contacting some of them to see if any of their foster homes could help out, have you tried asking the vet if they know of anyone

Where in the UK are you? I know of someone in Herts who intended fostering dogs whilst they were awaiting re-homing. Not sure if they could take them but it may be worth a try.

Hi,were in Reading Steve but it's going to be more than fostering now i'm afraid,Bill was diagonised this morning with cancer in his gullet,it's so big they could not get the camera past it so he has to have a scan next week.Doctor said it's likely to have been there a long time. They are also going to try to make a passage way through it so he can eat better. I will be looking for someone to adopt Ranger and Roundy,i can look after Bare,he's 12 and not a well lad,I'm absolutely broken into pieces.I will let you know about the dogs. Thankyou for trying to help. Kathy

Hi Di, exchanged e.mails with the lady in question and will keep this in mind, but sadly i think that Roundy and Ranger will be needing a permanant knew home and the lady in question can only foster them for a week. Bill is a lot worse today and going to hospital for assessment early next week so i will have to soon sort something out for the dogs. Thankyou for your help. Kathy

Thankyou Di and Ann for your support. Bill cannot even eat soup today would not let me phone hospital,if he's the same tomorrow i'll phone whether he likes it or not.Even a sip of water is difficult to swallow.I'm scared but i have to be strong for him,he's expecting the worse when he goes into hospital.Thinks he will never come out again. I'll get something sorted for the dogs when things get bad but i'm going to keep them as long as i possibly can. Thankyou again. Kathy

Thankyou very much Douglas. Yes,this is going to be a very difficult time,i will be keeping old Bare,he's been through too much and now he's 12 i just could'nt let him go.He idolises Bill, well the three of them do really,i think they already sense things are wrong bcause Bill keeps being sick. The sooner he goes into hospital to start treatment,if any,the better, it's getting him there that's the problem. Thankyou for your kind words Douglas Kathy
