What a fantastic video of the arrival of Greys in Italy. I cannot praise enough the tireless work that you all do in the transporting and re homing of these Greys to Italy. What would be their fate if it were not for GACI and the like. Thank You.
hello Lilian, just like to thank you, Barry Coleman and Brendan rogers for re homing baby Jane, its was a sad time for me as i had to go back to the UK and give up my dogs, her mum(buzz) went to Italy in may. i received photos and news from her new owner telling me how happy the family were with her. keep up the great work your doing greyhounds need people like you and all the other unsung heroes

It is great to see these dogs find loving homes but, without being controversial, it still concerns me that they have to be sent overseas to find these homes rather than in Ireland. Unfortunately, the greyhound is not considered to be the most sought after pet in Ireland.
However, I must say that Barry Coleman is doing sterling work in finding these lovely animals great homes to spend their retirement in.

Barry Coleman is NOT finding these dogs homes. GACI are finding them homes. All igb do is give a small donation towards the transport. The work is done on the ground in Italy. Same with CZECH and Swedish rehoming groups.
IGB paid for vaccs, microchip and dental (not that my fella needed much as his teeth were clean and in perfect condition) for at least my dog and Barry did all the liaising with GACI. Similar system worked for this fella CLICK HERE via PAWS. The Italian group found the home and PAWS facilitated it, IGB facilitated Bidz adoption in the same way

We are happy to show you some pictures... new and sweet life in Italian's family. the other pictures are directly in GACI page here on Greyhound Data.
Bidz is belly up already ;-) shows he's a happy boy, it's his favourite position. Thank you for the pics Elisa, lovely to see he's taking to his new life.
It would be impossible for anyone here to find homes in another country without serious input from people over there.

Gina, I think it is fair to say IGB are supporting adoption as much as they can in the actual financial climate. Of course, GACI, GACR, Greathounds In Need and others do a great job in finding homes.
However without the official adoption program by IGB much less dogs would find their way to the couches abroad. Actually you would probably find it even harder to do something for the Lurchers and other unwanted dogs without the support of IGB and individual greyhound people...
best regards, Tomas

Hello Tomas, not the attitude you had when you were standing in my living room or staying in Tom's house FOC. What exactly is the 'Support' we get from IGB?? Except the fact that of late, they no longer follow up cruelty cases.

Then again,at that time, we were paying you cash to do transport.
