Anyone know of a company that will provide Pet Insurance for retired greyhounds? I have just gone through the "Compare The Market" site and input the details only to be told none of the insurers would provide a quote.

I am with Petplan for all my hounds just cancelled the one for Missy and they returned part of last month's direct debit. They ar.e not the cheapest but definitely the best I was with AXA direct until the renewals came for Missy and Merlin, both Greyhounds and they had doubled the monthly direct debit, when asked well you have claimed once on each of them over the last four years so we consider they are a risk to us of further claims plus Greyhounds are a great risky dog due to their build etc etc.So I dropped AXA for all three and they had the nerve to demand any remaining moths of the years premium which for Menta meant they deducted over 100 pounds from my claim because she needed urgently 14 teeth removed. Ted, Merlin, Menta and Mickey.

My girl is insured with More Than .. cheaper than Petplan I get 7500 per condition over a lifetime with a smaller excess than PP (75) but I have to pay 10% of the bill as well as the premium .. I think she's about 19 per month :)
