To Clearview Kelly and Evin Fflyn......Many Congratulations!!!

Wonderful idea to have these shows and anything that can help educate the Irish public regarding these wonderful dogs has to be a bonus.

The show on St. Patrick's Day was a great success. It was great to see the retired greyhounds parading around the main arena in their presentation jackets. The greyhounds did their breed proud by behaving beautifully and embracing their new roles as show dogs. There was great interest in the class on the day and hopefully it proved a great showcase for the breed.

Credit has to go to the owners who had their dogs in wonderful condition. It was obvious that some of the handlers had done some training themselves in the art of showing! The class was given plenty of time by the Irish Kennel Club and must have had a positive effect on the public perception of greyhounds as pets.
Hopefully this will be the first of many events which will involve retired greyhounds in Ireland.
Congratulations to Evin and Clearview Kelly who won the class and also to John Shaw with runner up Staghall Blues. Well done to GAIN for sponsoring the event and promoting Irish greyhounds as pets.

Cheers!

Lovely, lovely pictures, I've even spotted some familiar faces (human and canine).

I am glad I wasn't a judge as all the dogs were GORGEOUS.

Congratulations to the owners for keeping them in such good shape!
