Dear all,
last Saturday we had the honour of welcoming 20 greyhounds in Italy, who are now enjoying their new life as pets.

As usual this was only possible thanks to great team work, and our thank yous go to:

the greyhounds who are so loving and lovable
our adopters
our home checkers and all our volunteers
our Slovenian colleagues from HRTJI SVET for finding 3 lovely homes
the 3 vets sent by Clinica veterinaria "Citt di Pavia"
everyone at the Agriturismo Calcaterra in Ozzero (Milan)
the Irish rescues, trainers and owners for sending the dogs in such good shape
the IGB for their financial support
Kathleen whose all-round support is invaluable

A BIG thank you to Dominic and his team for the great skill and care they have used to get the dogs to Italy.

Pics of the arrival will be available soon!

I have read that EGN do not want to work with the trainers owners or the Irish greyhound board anymore they dont want any blood stained money and are going to only take greyhounds from the pounds .Obviously they will not want to work with Dominic who does a fantastic job transporting these dogs or use the money from the IGB for the transport.
Anyone wanting to get one of their hounds adopted should maybe contact GACI (Elisa Manna) or (Lillian mazzola) and let the NEW STAFF OF EGN do what they say.So they wont have to deal with us pieces of S**t as they so call us .

Im very sadened with this news as at the End of the day its to save as many greys as possible .These people think they can change the world on their own .Dario Ferraio who was the president had to resign as some of the staff ddnt lke that he collaborated with the trainers and owners.

Francesca and Dario and others who know who they are did a wonderful job in getting these greys fantastic homes now for a stupid few the greyhounds are the ones that are going to suffer .

Very sorry to hear this news William.

These folk had worked so well with the trainers and owners here and have re-homed so many of our lovely retired greyhounds.

Dear all,

please do not confuse what you read on FB, with official announcements.

No decision has been made yet, and I would kindly ask you not to add fuel to what is a heated argument anyway.

As a matter of fact we are still "recruiting" our dogs from trainers/owners and rescues.

At the end of the day we all want to save as many greyhounds as possible.

As soon as there will be anything to be said we'll make an official announcement.

Thanks for your cooperation.

Sorry Gina, this is a big misunderstanding (courtesy of FB), we've got all the dogs we need, but thanks for you offer.
