yes they do make great pets and they make better pets than most it was only a week or so ago that Jo and I ran into 30 schoolkids that had just finished the soccer down at the park where we go well for the next 15 minutes after the dogs were introduced to the kids those dogs got more pats hugs and kisses we were helped walking them and the teachers even got in on the act with the pats and when we ere going back to the car the kids were walking alongside holding the leads rubbing the dogs heads just enjoying and the nicest part to the story was the little fella that was terrified to pat one early in the piece met us down the park and as I stood there with the four dogs I beckoned him over and Ralph got some beautiful hugs after off that little bloke yes the greyhound does know how to fit in

We rescued a couple of ex-racers after having shown and bred whippets for 30 yrs. Now we have 4 pet greyhounds and a whippet, and also have a 4 yr old who we are retiring (so another pet) and 2 girls being broken in so I hope they can run as 2 more on the couch and I'll have to sit in the shed. lol. However couldn't agree more that they make wonderful pets. I have 1 old girl that is bomb proof. I would never leaue young children unsupervised around dogs but this 1 bitch I'd trust in any situation.
