There's a huge FALL off in the number of dogs being nominated. It's no wonder, with the amount of dogs being put out on race days. There is a very easy solution - let us have our skins and carcases back, or there will probably be no dogs left to enter soon. There are way too many dogs not interested in those flying rags.

Unfortunately, our good dog, Rapanui Reveller, broke DOWN ( hock ) at Sandown tonight, so he won't race again. Such as shame, as he was a terrific trier, and a lovely dog. A pet life beckons now.

It's not just losing him as a race dog, which is bad enough, Ron, but KNOWING about all the new ridiculous rules and regulations we now have to put up with, how hard it is getting pups/dogs to chase, and how all the enjoyment of racing as a family hobby has disappeared. Once our current team has finished racing, I think that will be it for us.

Sadly, there are a lot of us thinking in the same vein Carole, I myself am seriously considering walking away for the same reasons. The sport is beginning to smell of failure. I hate to even think of the great friendships made, whilst I've been involved, and the genuine cameraderie SHOWN. I will miss it all tremendously.
