Any "good" checkers/manipulators in the Newcastle area and if so how long do they take to do a dog/what do they charge?

Hi Ron, unfortunately "most" vets even greyhound one's do NOT know how to manipulate like the late Dr. Alex Hauler (RIP). I was very fortunately able to learn from Alex who was so far ahead of his time that NOTHING comes close to him. A trainer i know just out of Newcastle has a race dog, who's neck is so locked up but Peter Yore did NOT fix it. Am thinking of relocating to the Hunter Valley. Is there "any" that can adjust and ACTUALLY get the 'dog' to race to its FULL ability? And if so how long do they take to do 1 'dog?

Ron, mark's not looking for a MM, he's looking to see where the competition is, before he sets up shop...

Is Jason Mackay still checking dogs Ronald?

I've always found Peter Yore one of the top men in the game and I'm not disagreeing that he may not have remedied the neck by saying it.

Unfortunately it is a dying art.

Hi Jim,
Don't know about Jason doing the public, we use John regularly,
and whenever he is unavailable Peter, who I can say, was very busy on Tuesday. Nobody is infalable as you know mate.

Depends on the injury, and the subsequent diagnosis would it not!

Not necessarily! I have seen "many" check dogs in under 5 minutes.

Maybe many people have, and so will continue to use John because
he is thorough and very experienced and most of all patient with a genuine love of the dogs!

I do NOT doubt you Ron, but it takes a good 20 minutes to check & adjust a greyhound if one is doing it proper therefore thoroughly.

"I know" Peter Yore is a very good vet but for this trainer I am talking about to previously go to him a fair few times with his dog and not even pick up that the neck is locked up, let alone know how to adjust it NOT good. For the dog AND trainers wallet! Very poor.

Lol. Good one Malcolm. Am NOT in the industry to make friends I can assure you of that. Am in it for the love of the "athlete". As it is the poor greyhound THAT PAYS for 'industry' lack of knowledge.

Self praise is no recommondation!
The people in the Hunter are not stupid, you'd want to be bloody good to take trade from Peter or John!
I'd stop digging the hole your in, otherwise you'll never get out!
