As the wind and rain, and thunder soaked a foreign ground
There, came that famous Tiger roar, such a stirring sound
They stood tall and conquered, winning the tight rebounds
As Bernard's beloved Tigers, were Premiers again they found

All played well upon the night, and fans were in such delight
As the trusty Dusty, weaved a magic wand with a Tiger's might
The tussle between both cat's, at times became a little tight
But Richmond went onto the title, because they won the fight

They delayed their celebrations, to farewell a champion too
Joining the guard of honor, like all champion teams will do
Born in this great country, of the Kangaroo and Didgeridoo
This great game of footy, is as much Aussie as the Cockatoo.
