Ryan old m8 in the context of playing span he has done enough and reached the finish line . He does have the leadership ie players coach etc around him , from what you can see but are they really behind him ? As far as best players go I would select cam green ahead of warner if my jewellery was on the line and I rate cam green about 4th best batsman atm . Warner does have other attributes but c'mon . Like I said cricket Australia are heading for another debacle.

There's 10 other players I'd replace first Larry, including the captain. Warner's a matchwinner, they don't grow on trees you know.

So as of summer 2021 warner is a better prospect than 10 of his team mates ? and including cam green and Bancroft ? Yes or no .

Better than the 10 of them put together Larry. He is the GOAT.

Bancroft cldn't put wind up his @rse, c'mon Larry. Davey's at least 3 classes above.

Starc,hazlewood,Cummins,Pattinson,Lyon,...aside Mitch marsh,Abbott, Carey,head,...Wade,Paine,burns,...smith,labuschagne,cam green,Bancroft and the experienced warner . Well good luck if warner is the pick of the pack , I don't think so . Once he was up there , but this discussion is about the here and now and people's opinions, and mine is it was once and not any longer .

You're bagging his career on one series where only weeks before he almost single handedly busted his butt trying to get his team into the World Cup final. You're a hard man Larry.

I watched the game against the "Windies", Davey played a terrible cut shot on 13! and was extremely lucky to survive. Another on about 43 to mid-on, 40m in the air and dropped safely.

Yeah he needed some good luck, and hopefully he goes on with it.
BUT it's not the ASHES! being played on flat tracks, and the "Windies" are an ageing team. (1 win in the World Cup, from 5).

The Paki's are hungry, and talented lets see how we go?
Not at all convinced with our batting for the Ashes series. AT ALL.

Another Terrible build-up to a series. Harris, Pucowski, Labuschagne, Paine, Lyon, Green etc. Form?????

To Win the Ashes! will again be on the back off our Bowlers. Batting will be brittle once again.

Or maybe...stop flashing with angled bat at balls moving away outside off stump (lol)

Thanks Ron...yeah I'm good, currently back in Sydney for medical treatment, 2 specialists are convinced that I have a large tumour in my left lung, but after 8 blood tests 4 scans and 2 'negative' biopsies they are a little bit baffled!
I said it perhaps a relic fro my 20 years in the drycleaning industry and might be asbestos scars from then, or maybe just scaring...they disagreed but decided to try me on anti Anti virals for a couple weeks and do another scan, surprisingly the 'tumour shrank in size, they admitted that a cancer would not shrink with with anti virals, so now back on anti virals, another scan next week then a Bronchoscopy (camera biopsy), to verify....hopefully, that's it and I'm free to go! (Whacko)

Sorry fir the long winded reply, but it's been a long hard rude since I came back to Syddney prior to Christmas!!! (LOL)

G'day Ray,

Sorry for what you've been through health wise. Good to hear you're on top of it Ray.

Davey hit a double century last series and shut those South Africans up. He was concussed and they sent him home from the sub continent. They may have misdiagnosed the concussion, cos I think you need to have a brain before you can be diagnosed with that condition.

I'm still hoping Marnus may migrate back to SA too. He bores me to death the way he bats, I flick the channel when he's in. I'd have loved to be out there fielding against him. They shld allow trades to occur back to their own countries in test cricket. I'd trade Nortje for Marnus.

Good to hear your back again Ray! and hope you get the "All Clear" soon mate.

Heard Davey put his bats up for sale on E-bay in India, before his trip home. ( No need to pay for excess baggage).
The Add went something like this?

"10 unique purpose built bats, Owned by Aust Batsman David Warner for sale. All in MINT CONDITION, one with 2 very faint red nicks other wise, never used! Best Offer. ( As i won't be selected to Tour England on current form. Last series there i averaged around 9!)

Shit! Who's that tapping me on the shoulder? ( Old Father time)?

Bloody colonoscopy's I have lost count these past years.
In again the next couple of weeks.
Thinking of charging a tourist levy!
I am sure Ray has a tally or two!

Yes Ron, I do....this one is just a down the throat camera biopsy!

Bloody hell, they have booked me in twice for Radiation & Chemotherapy, then cancelled
due to the negative biopsies. Same again with a chest incision and an internal lung biopsy (@&#$).
No target to shoot for but they are still unconvinced, hence this latest investigation the prove them right or wrong??!!

So far about $2500 and same old same old....nothing to see here, we will try something else to find out for sure!

I worry about the people who are interested in this field.

About 18 mths ago had a uti and an elevated PSA. Sent to a specialist who I thought was very pleasant, until he stood and gloved up raising his middle finger to the light with enuf vas to make it look like ET was caught in a condom.

Anyway after the violation he says "feels normal to me". I thought not to me ! Felt like I was broken in. Not satisfied with his efforts and much to my wife's amusement(she just hadta come along), he says the only way to be certain it's not prostate cancer is to do a biopsy. He wants to drive a lamp post thru my sphincter and with a biopsy needle wants a piece of my prostate by going thru the rectal wall.

I say WHOA ! Those things are put in a place where no one can get at for a reason. The Mrs and he are having a good ol' laugh by this stage. When he calms down he says maybe we can do some more blood tests and see what the results are. I'm nodding furiously. 3 blood tests later PSA is down to an acceptable level where he's determined everything has settled down, saying it's never cancer if the PSA levels fall.

Moral of the story is never consent to anyone taking a run at you from behind. There's always an alternative.

Back to the real GOAT.

See Davy has been given another chance to conquer the Poms on
their own turf. Let's all hope he has a corker, for this will
surely be his swansong.
