Poor Davey, he has some way to go right now, a 'GOLDEN DUCK' won't help him

Ryan, he now needs to score about twenty 300+ scores in his next 25 innings if he is to seriously get anywhere within a bulls roar of the average of the greatest of all...BRADMAN! (LOL)

Ray, Ray ,Ray you still don't get it. You have watched the worlds greatest batsman ever at dismantling any opposition single handedly and don't know what you've seen.

His value to Australian cricket has never been in his averages but his sheer destructive power and dominance of the crease and in turn a series, so much so that the England captain placed a man on the point boundary when he came into bat a couple of season ago. That sort of respect comes from the fear he creates within an opposition camp before he has struck a ball - it's unparalleled in the H I S T O R Y of the Game.

You know Ray, Rhyno sounds similar to Larry in his fierce
defense of Warner, so that engenders some respect of their
"Idols". Maybe because you and I came up in a different era,
of unweighted bats, and larger racquets, and combined with
old fashioned consistancy was the order of the day.

Not wrong there Ron...an era when players had class and respect for each other, themselves and the game.

How did I get roped into this RGH ? IMO Warner always has been slightly over rated. He has champion like figures but has struggled against champion bowlers especially spin . His dashing technique will always be remembered , however he himself will always be remembered for one thing , and its debatable even if he should be out there playing for Australia .

Another failure with just 1 run in 7 balls...the run rate is going up Ryan, at this rate it will soon pass 400 per innings and he IS in the twilight of his career.

Totally agree Larry, but facts are that he is.

I thought Greg Chappell was the best bat I've seen but Warner is about 2 and a half times better. I think he averaged 80 in the last World Cup and single handedly almost got Aus into the finals.

I've never seen a cricketer with more determination achieve goals he sets for himself and absolutely destroys opposition teams doing it. There hasn't been a batsman anything like him in my lifetime. He seemed to grab that World Cup series by the throat and almost willed Australia into the final, so much so that he had absolutely nothing left for the ensuing Test series.

Just a living legend is D. Warner
