What is more important to the punters perceived quality of the race meeting or is timeslot the Holy grail?

Just had a squiz on the win bet turnover for three meetings admittedly one week only

Casino 12/9/14

Albion Park 11/9/14 (Queenslands Premier race meeting of the week by prize money distributed)

Ipswich 12/9/14

Average wager win pools on those meets

Casino $9966
Albion Park $7054
Ipswich $11787

My opinion is that the time slot rules, earlier in the year I was looking at the Easter Egg and a Maiden at Ippy on the night held higher in the win Pool than one of the countries biggest races.

Should any meeting automatically garnisheer the highest prizemony distribution if the above was normal or should the spoils go to the meeting week in week out providing the highest turnover?

A maiden today at Ippy had much higher turnover than the Best 8 at Albion Park last night

Golden Easter Egg would have had a larger fixed odds turnover plus the tote product, where the Ipswich race would have been tote products only.

Ahh, thanks Gavin, the other meetings would also have been in the same situation. Problem Solvered as they say.

Although we cant see the fixed pools can we

And my blotter was wrong on Egg Night

The Ippy Maiden was $13766 the Egg was $15275 (plus fixed whatever that may be)
Association Cup was $10684 and Magic Maiden was $6164

Tipping fixed odds holds would be quite large when you consider the races would have been bet on for nearly 3 weeks for the Egg and 1 week for the Association Cup.

Of course time slot rules why do you think the trots push so hard for the fri night slot. People punt at pub tab heaps on a fri night.
