As you will see in the replay (below), the last runner to officially race under Peter's name as Trainer - MY AWESOME MAGIC - is helped to victory "carried by Angels wings"; getting up to score an emotion-charged win at Albion Park.
A few minutes prior, on-course patrons had also marked their respects; honouring Peter's memory with a minute's silence.
Talk about a truly fitting farewell on the racetrack! Peter went out a winner ... both on Tuesday, and now, Thursday as well.
Well done and our thanks goes out to Tony Brett, for handling Peter's dogs tonight. And as Caller Paul Dolan said, "This one's for you, Big Pete!!!".
R.I.P. PETER RUETSCHI ... And yes, tears are sure flowing all-round again xo
