RULES

This competition will be based on Saturday Night meetings.
Last year's competition only included the meeting from Saturday nights, Wentworth Park.
This year's Competition will include the meetings from Saturday nights, Wentworth Park & The Meadows...basically on alternate weeks.
It will also include BONUS POINTS on Group racing from both these tracks.

The following reasons are how I'll determine which meeting, & what meeting (Wpk or Meds), we'll be tipping on each week.

City tracks at both Victoria & NSW share around the same amount of Group events, but due to the fact Victoria has 2 city tracks & divides their Group events between both tracks (Spk/Med), & NSW only has 1 (Wpk)....it's, therefore, obvious that Wpk will hold more Group Events on a Saturday night.

So it only makes sense that we should make "The Meadows" the "DEFAULT" tipping track every Saturday night, EXCEPT & I repeat, EXCEPT when Wentworth PK are running HEATS or FINALS of a Group race(s), which will occur around 24 weeks of the year...& since the competition runs for a total of 48 weeks, this should even out the meetings between both Saturday night Clubs.

So in other words,
If there's Group Heats or Group Finals running at Wpk - we place our tips at Wpk. Or -
If there's NO Group Heats or Group Finals running at Wpk - we place our tips at The Meadows.
It's that simple.

Now here's the kicker.
BONUS GROUP POINTS will also be awarded - which are worth the same as the current point scoring system as shown above.
It's just as simple.
If there's a Group Race Final on at either Wpk or The Meadows, you need to place your usual tip + a tip on the Group Race Final.
If there's two Group Races Finals, & in some cases, there'll be three, you'll need to place a tip for every Group race Final at that meeting.
If you finish 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th in any of those events, you'll receive points for all winning tips.

It's the same format as last year.

One tip per week.
Choose a Race?
Choose a Box?
Choose either Tote or Fixed TAB odds.
All Tips in by 7 pm EST.

The point system this year has slightly been tweaked to include "4th Placing".
1st = 10 points + TAB odds.
2nd = 6 points + TAB odds.
3rd = 4 points + TAB odds.
4th = 2 points only (no TAB odds).

Tote odds are supplied from the NSW "TAB.com.au" site, at the completion of each race.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Regarding "TAB odds" if your selection wins.

You'll be awarded the winning dividend only. The place dividend will not be included.

If you forget to choose either "Fixed or Tote" odds, you'll be awarded "Tote" odds.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Scratching / Late Scratching Rule

If there's a scratching / late scratching, the PUNTERS will have 2 options since we're now living in the 21 century & have everything at our fingertips.

OPTION 1.
Should a "Scratching" or a "Late Scratching occur" regarding your selection, that member will have the opportunity to "Re-Enter" a new choice (only once)...PROVIDED
(a). Your original race selected has not raced &
(b). Your new selection has been officially lodged "5 MINUTES" before that race is about to start (Yes you can choose a different race provided it to has not been conducted).

OPTION 2.
If option 1 has not been exercised, the individual involved will be automatically awarded the "Favourite" of that race. The "Favourite" is clearly stated on the TAB.com.au site under - "Substitute", under that race of choice ---> EXTERNAL LINK
"Tote" points will be awarded in both cases.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The 2nd Chance Forget Rule

If a member forgets to place their tips by the 7.00pm cut-off time, they have two option since we're now living in the 21 century & have everything at our fingertips.

OPTION 1.
They can place a selection on the LAST RACE for that night, providing it's placed 5 minutes before the starting time.

OPTION 2.
If option 1 still hasn't been exercised, that member will be awarded the lowest score above zero for that week, but only for a maximum of no more than 4 times throughout the year. Once those 4 chances have been spent, that member will receive ZERO points for the remainder of the season, should they forget to place their tips again.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Cut off time for all tips will be 7.00pm NSW time.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Regards Steve ;-)

PS.....I reserve the right to edit the rules of this competition after a decision by the members involved, has been voted upon.

WHEN PLACING TIPS

For the program to accept your tip(s), there's a slightly different format to lasts years "Placing of Tips", due to the inception of Bonus Group races.

This will avoid confusion on which meeting & races to tip from.

When placing your selections, please "Copy & Paste" the following & fill in the gaps. It really is as easy as 1,2,3.

------------------

Your name -
Race number -
Box number -
Tote Fixed -

------------------

FOR EXAMPLE

Your name - Joe Blow
Race number - 1
Box number - 1
Tote Fixed - Tote

Failing to do this will result in a failed tipping selection.

Unfortunately the website is asking me to register, which is not a problem except it will not accept international post codes and so registration fails. :-S

Barry on that first screen try clicking on RACING FORM, this should take you through to the meetings, you will see E W and F next to the meetings, click on F.
you will not be able to click on the expert form, but will be able to see the fields themselves, you dont need to be a member to see that, good luck!

Awesome work everybody accept Carlos Ramos. Sorry D minus mate.

My programme won't recognize your tips unless you place them as shown above.

If I was to "Hand-type" 70 individual selections, I definitely wouldn't be volunteering my time for the job. That's why I've got a computer & asked all "Tipsters" to help me out when placing their tips, in a certain format.

Many soldiers make light work ;-)

PS...You also forgot to place either "Fixed" or "Tote" odds.
