Where can I get some stat's on the fav in aust greyhound races.
looking for win strike rate % of fav's and thier average starting price.
Can anyone provide or point me in the right direction to obtain ?

I think the strike rate is about 36% for outright favoourites and 47% of odds on favourites win races, I can't remember wher I saw the stats but these are about right.

I think greyhound weekly Tab form might be able to help, or you can go into the TAB results, or Sky Chanel Results.

not very encouraging figures for those having a punt. 47% of odds on shots only, that leaves the punter with the sh***y end of the stick again. no wounder the bookies havnt felt the bite of the recession yet ( or have they ).

Hi Pat, Yes the bookies would be infront on the ledger one would think on those figures, Pat I just lay the Hot favs from the Trots , and one is in front . Those trotters know how to get beat for some reason.

Anthony , I think we are on the same wave link here , now if you are laying the mutts on Betfair be carfull ok if you are going to lay the fav in the dogs lay only if they are $1.80 or shorter , and you will finish in front,
Now as for the RED Hots Just lay the Favs Under $4.00 ok.

Anthony are you thinking of trying to make aliving from the favorite ...if you are you might be better off working on the favorite from 128 boxes ...I r member many years ago I use to punt off the run of outs for a given box at a say WP...I still remember a time where Singleton box 4 had had a run of outs of 45 ...the 46th dog was the good dog Kevin Johns trained ...the name slips my memory now ..he won the pete mossman I think

I prefer the system of backing an OK dog in the 1 or 8 (usually paying $5 -$10) when the fave is in the 4,5,6 and drawn near some pace....

yes that,s him ...Farmer Wilson ....it was the Singleton leg he won ...do you know what ever happened to Kevin ...he was a good hand with a dog ...nice bloke to boot ...his daughter was handy with them ...did she continue on training them
