Described by his trainer - the legendary Graeme Bate as the fastest dog he'd trained, Leeroy Rocker was touted as a future champion of the racetrack. Leeroy Rocker won his first 6 starts, including near record times and first section records. At his 6th start he tore a Stopper Tendon which ultimately ended his race career. Remarkably, despite this injury, he went onto record a further 8 wins, in addition to placings in 3 group finals. He finally succumbed to his injury at only his 23rd start, when the tendon tore beyond repair. Leeroy Rocker was best known for his blistering early speed, his unquestionable chase, and his attitude to compete.
