Fireline kennel is situated in Southern Finland, near the city of Turku. We have a kennel building, and some of our dogs live inside the main house as well. All dogs have access to a big yard.
Inside the main house we have a breeding room for the bitch and puppies. When the puppies are 4 weeks old they can go to a special puppy yard. There are trees and bushes in the puppy yard, so the pups can learn how to handle themselves when they run around. If we have a winter litter, we pile up big heaps of snow and the pups have a lot of fun running up and down and around them.I have been racing and breeding greyhounds for over 30 years. One of my big goals in breeding has always been to improve the standard of finnish greyhounds. To achieve that goal I have been importing good breeding stock since the 70s. Some of my best imports include: FEEL THE COLD (Pretty Short-Feel The Heat), one of the very first Aussies in Scandinavia. In -92 he took the National Record of 28.25/480m (or 525y), while winning the Junior Derby. Later on he was retired to stud and became Finlands best stud dog ever. BALLYGUB FIREFLASH (Frightful Flash-Sports Goldie), one of the best racers ever, and a great brood. HAYLING ISLAND (Daleys Gold-Westmead Chloe), Michael Dunnes former broodbitch from Ireland, who whelped a great Top Honcho-litter in Finland. EXTRA DIVIDEND, a Group 1 winner (St.Leger) and multiple Group-finalist from Ireland, and a great stud dog in Finland. CREDIT KING, a Track Record breaker, and Richmond Derby 2nd from Australia. It has always been very important to me to look after my puppy owners. When I give a pup to a new home I try to help the owner as much as I can with my knowledge, so that later on he can get that pup to racing as ready as possible. When the young dog is racing well and the owner is happy, then I have succeeded as a breeder. *********************************************************
