About the KennelStud DogsBroodsBreeding Successes

Set in the Warwickshire countryside at Gaydon, Lilypad Kennels are the base for Lilypad Racing Ltd owned by Liz & Pat Curtin. Contracted to supply runners for LADBROKES MONMORE GREEN, the business has grown steadily since its origin in 1999 and has quickly established itself, formerly as part of the Oxford Racing strength and now as an integral part of the Wolverhampton Tracks Trainer base.

Liz & Pat Curtin managed to achieve Champion Trainer status at Oxford in 2006 and were runners up in 2007. They have enjoyed regular success on the Open Race Scene, allbeit at times, with runners that are capable of racing in Open Race Company rather than being Open Class.

They have however had Runners in the Final of the following:
THE LAURELS
THE SCURRY
THE PALL MALL
THE WIMBLEDON PUPPY DERBY
THE CORAL SUSSEX PUPPY CUP
THE ROMFORD GOLDEN SPRINT

LILYPAD RACING LTD (to date) have won THE CESARAWITCH and THE OXFORDSHIRE GOLD TROPHY but every year they gain experience and bring their business that bit further forward.

At present the kennel is overseeing a transition period of the Greyhounds in their care replacing many of their former Irish racers with homebred and British bred stock. Pat & Liz are currently breeding around two litters a year with Pat adamant this is the way forward as Irish breeding figures reduce dramatically and as a result the price of Greyhounds rising.

Pat & Liz actively encourage Owner participation at their kennels and Village Farm is very busy at weekends when the Owners come to see their dogs.
