I'm not sure which show Paul is going on. Maybe it is being revamped under another format??

Sorry Greyhound team. Looks like I fell at the final hurdle and missed out on making it as Hard Quiz contestant. My rabid defence of the industry at the final Zoom meeting must have been too much for the socialist greenie leftys at the ABC, all whilst being peppered by a costant attack of negatively focused questioning. This is exactly why I fear for the future of the Greyhound game.

The problem is that the show is produced and broadcast by the ABC, who have shown in the past which side of the fence they sit and with whom they support; forget that they, as their acronym stands for Australian Broadcasting Corporation, should, in theory, report the truth in a factual and unbiased fashion which represents Australia, and Australians as a whole, not a small specific target base.
It should be in essence - neutral, unbiased and representative of the truth without compromise, irrespective, however, as our industry and participants have found out dramatically over the past years that the old adage of Dont let the truth get in the way of a good story is more important than the actual truth sensationalism and impact are key, and the uniformed and naive swallow and digest the diatribe as gospel! afterall, this is the ABC, the countrys station and what should be its voice yeah right!
The ABC has become no better than a muck raking tabloid, which no longer represents a nation and or its opinion but a small minority with whom it believes their do-gooding ideologies are the way forward and representative of the masses think again!
Hopefully the Greyhound industry can, and will stand tall, against any and all future negative slurs and attemps to "shut it down", and perhaps these "socialist greenie lefties" (as you put it), find another body to focus their "attention" upon.
Hard Quiz? ...personally I wouldn't loose any sleep over it!

I don' think the ABC with their raft of legal cases for muck-raking and improper journalistic practices against them are being treated seriously anymore by true Australians
The High Court confirmed the implied right of free speech in the Constitution, finding that freedom of communication on matters of Government and political affairs is an indispensable part of the system of representative government.
The Court qualified this right, holding that it is not absolute but limited to what is necessary for the effective operation of the system of representative and responsible government.
The implied right of free speech may therefore be relied upon as a sound defense to a defamation claim if publication was in relation to government and political matters,[B] provided it was made reasonably and with an absence of malice.[/B]
