I heard today that girl aloud has had a repeat mating to Mogambo.
What are peoples thoughts on repeat matings? Yes or no?
Also what an amazing broody she has been. I've watched the litters she's had very closely after owning a boy from girl aloud x Mogambo 1st litter. Think that litter won around 250,000... Be interesting to compare this repeat mating..

Has been a high quality brood that's for sure but not a big fan of repeat matings and doubt there will be one as good if not better than any in the first litter.

repeat matings for us, is something new we haven't done it before,

but i have spent a lot of time reading about some of the failures/and success ,

so we decided its worth a shot , leading vic breeder len jones article was the decider,,

girl aloud has been a terrific brood , she has now produced 97 winners, city and group contenders ,,

this mating , regardless of the outcome will be her last , its now time for her daughters to pick up where she has left off ,

the daughters we have sold , some have pups already, some in the process, all to top class sires ,

the daughter we have kept MARLEY GIRL , her self a multiple city winner,

ironically, she came in season today , all being well will be mated to CLICK HERE

Lola's entity was very unlucky lastnight.
I not sure what happened but thought box draw had her in 2 or 3 thought she was a chance. Then lastnight I went to put a bet on and drew the 7??
Did I miss something?

& to get 3 litter mates into that Group final as well...is also a great achievement.

Well done Mick, Mick & Smithy.

Goog luck. Mogambo might be the master of repeat matings haha, at least it's proven to work with him :)

With all the uncertainly going on here in vic at the moment , it was decided not to breed Marley girl this time ,, she is a six month bitch so we will have another look come spring time.

Mick

I know of 2 broods from your line where the breeders have let them miss in recent days, no confidence in industry

I know it's a hard time but isn't this what the Anti's want to hear?

It probably is sandro, but until such time as the grv deal with the situation it's best to take a back seat. At the moment Grv got absolutely no idea how to tackle the problem. That email they sent members the other night was complete and utter Crap , since all this blew up there has not been one single constructive thing from grv until something positive is done I won't be breeding any more , if that's a win for the antis so be it , I'm sorry to say Grv have been a disgrace in this whole mess. Just didn't do the job they were paid to do , the only way forward is to get rid of the lot of them.

That's true, but if we all pull out of breeding and racing then it's a self fulfilling prophecy

Hi Mick,

She has done a great job. I have Zoenah's Entity on season again now. Would have bred if I could have got the sire I wanted but in absence of that will let her slide too. Only because I simply have too many.

I am in your camp Michael.

Best

michael, breeding is a very risky business at the best of times ,, when you factor in uncertainty, its just one too many risks for a lot of breeders, we need direction, and we need it NOW

mick if u breed what works through out the world, it take away a lot of risks and i bet paw sitting back with a smile on his face, no dont breed, i fill the races up, in two years time.
