Another Group finalist for Beast Unleashed as Sacred Stance showed more grit than Tyler Durden in Fight Club to outgun the brilliant Victorian speedster Blackpool Flash in winning his heat of the Group 3 Devonport Chase.

In his first step into Group Class racing Sacred Stance took his record to 6 starts for 6 wins and overcame a huge disparity in experience to beat Group winner and victor of 28 races Blackpool Flash. It turned out to be an old school match race with the two jumping to the lead and going neck and neck all the way to the line and despite the Pretty boy with fight giving away a wealth of experience and having to sit outside the leader for the journey he still found enough to stick his neck out on the line to get the win.

This will be the third individual Group race finalist for Beast Unleashed from just 28 individual starters. From those 28 starters, 14 of them have had just 3 starts or less on the race track.

Unleash the best in your Brood Bitch, come and see the Beast.

Generation Next

A win with meaning, Peter Lagogiane who trained and owns (along with Dawn Garrett) Beast Unleashed had his first start with a Beast baby on Tuesday at Gosford and 'Barrio Beast' duly saluted. This one meant a lot to Peter and Jodie.

Barrio Beast (x She's Fabtastic, a litter sister to Pindari Express) had to work hard for the win, coming from behind and taking a split between runners in the back straight for an impressive win. As has been the pattern the punters were keen on the chances of a Beast Unleashed pup and he saluted at $1.50 in 23.53 on a rain affected track.

Not to be outdone, a litter sister, 'It's Coming Home' saluted at Cranbourne on Wednesday, congratulations to owner Chris Dalli who showed faith in the Beast very early on in his stud career.

This afternoon we switch our attention to Group Racing when the undefeated Sacred Stance, the baby in the field takes on the big boys in Ferdinand Boy & Aston Lee amongst others in a star studded Devonport Chase. Today's result aside, the best looking dog in the world has a bright future ahead of him.

Good luck to connections.

I like the Boy......

Last to first for Beastly Boy (x She's Fabtastic) at Warrnambool on Monday, jumped a clear last and circled the field to win running away, a big win to break his maiden. This boy does more wrong than right at the moment but he has a big engine and will be one to watch as he learns what it is all about. He becomes the 3rd winner from this litter.

A replay well worth watching, link here:

Stacey says "don't forget about me"

My Name's Stacey with a BON win at Horsham running 27.26, recording her 7th win from 11 starts and 2 seconds.

As clean as you like on debut

'Sanitized' (x Irma Adeline) leads all the way at Gosford over 515m to win on debut clocking 30.03 on a rain affected track. Once again the Baby Beasts are the Punter's pal saluting the judge at $1.25.

From the Sacred to the Divine.

Sacred Stance wins his way into his second Group final after just 8 starts, notching his 7th career win in a heat of the time honoured Group 1 Hobart Thousand.

The handsome one, jumped straight to the lead and hit the line in a flying 25.87, the second fastest heat win of the evening, just behind the 25.82 of the recent Group 3 winner Superior Wallis.

His record now stands at 8 starts for 7 wins, a Group 1 and 3 finalist, his only defeat coming in a rough and tumble Group 3 final.

Amazingly, from just a handful of litters to race, this will be the fourth Group Finalist (three different dogs) for Beast Unleashed, an incredible start to his stud career.

What are you waiting for, his pups are fast and beautiful.....

Hi Jimmy,
Very impressive & not surprised,
I've been following Beast as a sire since his pups started racing & he's going great from limited litters on the ground , I'm thinking of using Beast

Bought one today, out of Ragadeen. Choice of two dogs, fawn & black. When in doubt go the black. A very nice pup at the price.

It is Xmas and the Beast keeps on giving, winners that is.

Windy Storm (x Adorable Lady) wins 2 on the bounce to take his record to 3 starts for 2 wins, running 25.47 and 21.79 at Shepparton. He is the 5th winner from this litter.

Barrio Beast (x She's Fabtastic) runs a flying 26.28 at Bulli to go to 2 wins from 3 starts, running sensational sectionals of 9.85 and 19.38.

Zigzag Cabang (x Stars and Lights) brings up win 9 with a further 3 placings from 17 starts with a 21.59 win at Shepparton. This litter has 5 indivual winners.

Happy New Year to you and your loved ones from the Beast Unleashed family.

2021 Stats:

Beast got his Stud career underway late in 2021 with his first winner arriving on
31 August via the speedy Ambrosia Tux who went on to break the first section record at Richmond over 331m.

58 winners for the year from 235 starters at 24.7%

4 Group finalists from 3 different dogs

23 individual winners from 9 different litters.

To show momentum is only building he finished the year with a double at Sale on the last day of the year both from the Dash of Rose litter; Basil Brush Rose 25.26 and Simon Rose 25.50.

Whether you are a "Stat's don't lie" or a "Lies, damn lies and statistics" kind of person the above makes for some impressive reading.

All the best in 2022.

The curls get the girls and winners get the Broody's.

Some recent visitors to Beast Unleashed:

Princess Riot - Regally Bred litter sister to superstar Whisky Riot, Australian Cup winner Fernando's Riot and Group 2 Launceston Cup winner Caishen. She is also a half sister to Million Dollar Chase winner Mystic Riot and Group class performers Blue Sky Riot and Major Riot. Princess herself is a multiple winner at Wentworth Park inc 29.80, 29.87 and 29.99.

Magic Liar - Finalist Group 3 Casino Cup.

The best sign of a good business is repeat business;

Adorable Lady - Who has already produced multiple Group finalist to Beast Unleashed; namely Sacred Stance and My Name's Stacey. She had 4 dogs and 1 bitch on 25 November.

Happy New Year to all.

Guess who, don't sue.....

The beautiful one, Sacred Stance, has been sold following a big money offer and will continue his racing career in the Harbour City.

Who are the big name owners and who is the trainer?

It looks like they are believers of the formula of a Tassie dog targeting the Million Dollar Chase.

Clue - It is not the same connections ;)

shame he was sold...I know ted medhurst personally loved this dog like a family member...I personally would not have sold him.Could have easily kept him and moved him to the mainland if they wanted to take on the big end of town.
