Hard to say any young sire really deserves an increase in stud fee at the moment, from my observations.

Steve has done an immaculate job with him, both as a race and stud dog. If he keeps producing Group 1 dogs like Morton last night, you might be right about a deserved fee increase.

Nathan Bendeich & Paul Dicks, I don't get why you guys mention Morton & his Dad on this thread when there is already discussion threads on Tommy Shelby & Morton on this forum , Hooked On Scotch is doing well so far At Stud & the litter I bred the pups are cracking types & I'm so happy with my pup that I'm willing to use Scotch again.

Because I answered a simple question that HOS included , is there any sire ?
I simply answered yes , and why ! I didnt elaborate any further then what the question was asked !
Some Poeple and their sensitivities need a fair dinkum check and reminded GD is a forum and it sways left to right and outside its own lines sometimes !
Heaven forbid another dogs name is mention on one dogs thread !

Come on mate are you being fair dinkum with this comment? Both sires are at similar stages in their careers, so it's a fair comparison. Conversations are fluid, they can branch off in different directions. But they are still relevant.

Paul Dicks & Nathan Bendeich , I'm man enough to admit when I'm wrong & I admit I didn't see the question Nathan replied to & having gone through those comments again that you guys posted is fair enough & I wasn't trying to be rude or anything but wasn't expecting a hostile reaction but like I said I was wrong & I apologise if my comment came across a little harsh even though it wasn't my intention.

All good Branko , not directed at you bud but there are a few persons who cry admin when the convo doesnt run their own perception . Like to think I take the time to read ones thoughts and either I agree or add another side to the equation if I think its valid
No hard feelings , good luck with your HOS , can throw one !
Cheers mate

Hooked on Scotch boy Smart & Classy owned by Damien Barker & myself & bred by me out of my beautiful bred Vince a Bella did us proud winning a 5th grade final at Ipswich tonite over the 520m running a nice 30.39 after going 30.22 last week when having his first look out of the 520 boxes there.
Takes this 2 yrs & 9 months boy record to 16 x 9 x 5 with 8 Best of day for $70,000 in prizemoney.
Hopefully there is more in store.
Vince a Bella has her 3 rd litter 7 boys 2 girls by Dyna Steal about to be chipped. Hopefully more fun there.

Smart and Classy wins heat & final of the Bundaberg Wildcard not only taking his earnings to $88,000 but winning a wildcard entry into the Group 2 Bundaberg cup final, not bad for a boy who hasnt won a Thursday night Albion Park race but just watch this space its just around the corner.

Darren,
I don't understand your comment re: the Irish being generations ahead in the breeding game.
How does this apply to this breeding; surely not the traces of Droopys Kewell or Larkhill Jo"?

Michael, the Irish have always been open to diversifying their bloodlines and in turn aware of the strength of their breed. Where breeding in this country originated from (UK / Ire). Something this country to this day is very reluctant to do on mass. With such a closed mindset. How can Australia think they lead the way?
When you go look at the top offspring of Hooked On Scotch half brother Out Of Ranges success in Ireland. You cant understate the cross of Larkhill Jo, back into Droopys Kewell.
But, of course its so much more than that. Yachi Bale shows the power of crossing the Westmead family.
Power and Glory even carries an obscure further Westmead family member in his dam.

Darren,
I don't wish to hijack this thread about Hooked on Scotch and some of his wonderful progeny, so I'll start another thread to try and get my head around your reasoning for making the statement you did about Irish breeders.
I'm keen to learn.
